Reviewed August 9, 2011

The hotel was not full so it was easy to get a sunbed and a swim in the pool. Food we had no problems with. In the dining area you could sit where you liked and near the end of the holiday they were just beginning to serve drinks to your table. A lot of different nationalities but this didn't seem to cause any problems.
Downside: We asked for two rooms next to each other (two teenage daughters), we were five doors away.. This I couldn't understand because the hotel was not full.
Shower gell and toilet rolls were rarely replaced in our rooms. I left an empty shower gell bottle as a hint but to no avail. Toilet roll I took out of the main toilets. The wiring under the swimming pool bridge caused me some concern and I mentioned this to reception. They were not interested, but for those people booked worth taking a look., I don't think you will admire it. The bedding in our room was not suitable for a double bed. At two o clock in a morning after tusselling over one blanket suitable for a 3/4 bed and a single quilt cover I took both down to reception and asked how we were suppose to sleep? Within 10 minutes replacements came.. Entertainment good for young children. No entertainment for teenagers and adults. Our check-out was midnight so enquired about a late check out. The first gentleman I asked quoted me 50 euros untill 11p.m, he was then interupted by another man who told us we could have the room for free until 3pm after this the fee would be £118.00. I could not believe it. . When we left there was no thankyou or goodbye. I came to the conclusion some nationalities were not wanted. I was very dishearted.. Hotel lovely just a shame about the way it is run.which is exactly what I told the reception staff. I would return but for alot lower price then we paid.

This Place is a nightmare, Don't go here!!! No way in hell is this a 5 star hotel. Not worth the money! When checking in it took over an hour to find our reservation. The staff was not helpful except for a couple individuals, but they didn't seem to know what was going on and couldn't help. We were put in a cave like room on the top floor, the balcony was a cement wall that stood neck high and you needed to stand on tiptoes to see over it, the other floors have huge balconies with glass walls. The power kept going out and the AC did not work, making the room unbearably hot.. We asked for another room and were told we could not have one. Finally we just asked for a refund and we would gladly leave but we were told that "this is Turkey, not USA, we already were charged and would not be refunded." Basically they said too bad, we don't care if you like it, we already have your money. After fighting for over an hour one staff member helped us and finally got us a new room for the next day.At 7 AM the the following two day the power went out again, which shuts down the AC. In Turkey, in July, it does not take long for your room to heat up in these conditions. It quickly got hot enough to wake you up and then you are up for the rest of the day pissed off. Finally, when checking out they tried to say we ordered drinks to the room when we had not. They were trying to charge us more and we had to fight for another half hour before finally getting out of the place.
Throughout our stay, the staff gave us attitude every time we needed something. We were not asking for anything unreasonable. We just wanted what we had already paid for and that bothered them. They would lie to you and tell you they would fix something just to get you out of their face, then nothing would be done.
As far as everything else about the hotel goes... The A la Carte restaurant was terrible. The food selection was good, but the quality was not great. The entrees were the same everyday and were terrible. The salads and side dishes were not bad but again were the same every day. The resort seems to be more for families with children. The other guests were annoying and rude. They would place towels on poolside chairs to hold them all day but would never even be there. They just took the space in case they wanted it. A kid pee'd in the pool and told his parents, who thought no one else heard and they just told him shhh and laughed and got out of the water. They didn't even tell him that was wrong or discipline him in any way. People would push to the front of lines to take the last of whatever food was put out, taking way more than they could possibly eat, just so no one else could have it. they were like animals. i lost faith in humanity seeing these creatures.
The beach was not great either. The sea floor is rocky and covered in seaweed. The sand is more of a fine gravel than actually sand.
As for the city of Didim... looks like a post-apocalyptic hellscape. Nothing is developed. Maybe in a few years it will be nice, but right now there is just construction and garbage everywhere.

Room Tip: Top floor is terrible and

We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning. our tour operator dropped us off. the reception staff were half asleep and didn't look as if they were expecting us. when i presented the booking voucher i had to point out the relevant details. we were tired after a night flight and a 1 1/2 hour drive from the airport they didn't even offer us a drink. we were taken to a room and it wasn't what i booked a twin room. They took us to a a twin room with two small single beds and a sofa bed the pictured on the tour operators website showed two french beds. we paid full price for our 7 year old son therefore we were not happy for him to be in a sofa bed. Also when the bell boy opened the door the room stank of rotten eggs.
in the morning i went to reception with my booking confirmation, the receptionist was so rude he told me the rooms that were depicted on the tour operator website did not exist. he told me its my problem and to take it up with the holiday rep. then we spoke with the front office manager and he said those room were not available. he put us in a family room which was nice but the toilet smelled so bad we couldn't enter the room. we spoke with our holiday rep who was very very helpful and did all she can to help us. she spoke to the management and got us the twin room with large beds but they were only available the following day. On the third day we got a room that was suitable and didn't smell.
There is a good variety of food at the buffet but it doesn't vary each day by about the 3rd day we were fed up and the hot food was always warm not hot except the food that was cooked in front of you and there is always a long long queue for it. the staff at the restaurant work hard but there were not enough staff to cover.
the pool and the beach is nice and the pool side bar is nice and serves good snacks and drinks. The hotel is new therefore there are lots of teething problems. the smell in the toilets probably due to some drainage problems as we notice it persisted in different places.
The spa is very good the staff there were very nice and attentive and spoke much better english. would highly recommend the Turkish bath which was very nice.
the hygiene level in the hotel was very low. we found two pieces of plastic in our sons mashed potatoes and i found a pieced of chicken in my pudding which was similar to custard. The ladies toilets in the spa changing rooms were dirty and even the toilet seats soiled and had not been cleaned. the showers in the changing rooms were blocked and smelt of rotten eggs again. The Toilets in the lobby was also not cleaned regularly as there were dried sick all over one of the toilets and the seats it made me feel sick.
This was a holiday we were all looking forward to but we felt very let down.

Please do not listen the to other people moaning , we really recommend the hotel and we will definitely come back there again.
