Palm Wings Beach Resort

I must start by saying this resort is superb! Like other reviews state, the cleanliness and levels of attention paid to the resort by it's staff are impeccable. I also liked the different options at which you could spend your day (inside pool, relax pool, main pool and beach). As my girlfriend and I dont go on holiday to listen to screaming kids all day, the relax pool and areas surrounding the beach were relaxed and peaceful. The only downsides are hard bed! The main hotel is too far from the restaurant/bars so request a bungalow! We did and they were most accomodating. Also, you need to get to the food hall asap to get a) a seat in the main restaurant, and at a table that has not just been vacated and needs a wipe, fresh cutlery etc (on two occasions we were aimlessly wondering around with our food trying to find a table) and b) To get hot fresh food. While the variety is good, it is very rarely hot and any popular items, you're normally met with an empty tray. Breakfast too, if you decide to lay in (like we did, it is a holiday after all) they do a late breakfast from 10-11, but this is where you will see scraps of food that is not replenished and the tables dont seem to be re-laid. About 5 late breakfasts we attended, there were just luke warm, dry hard boiled eggs in the way of hot food options and we had to ask for cutlery etc. These may seem like important groans to some, but we saw past these issues and made the most of what is essentially a fantastic hotel. You may be all inclusive, but it is such good value for money, why not try A La Carte Restaurants or go out some mornings/eves for food, we did and it helped avoid the food becoming too samey by the weeks end. My other advice is stay away from the airport food and drinks!! I had a very below par burger, fries and coke, while my girlfriend had a rubbery cheese toastie, fries and Coke and for the pleasure we were charge £28!!! I also heard another disgruntled holidayer, livid at paying £14 for a can of Coke and small bottle of water BEWARE! Finally, book a private transfer! It's £40 each way for a car (Mariya Tours), but sooooo much faster (just over an hour) and you avoid the stresses of normal transfers (waiting for other passengers to get their bags and get on the bus, stopping at all their hotels, checking in at your hotel with a queue of others) our check in was stress free! It is essentially the beginning and end of your holiday, so make it as stress free as possible, after all, normal transfers to this hotel can take up to 3 hours! The hotel I recommend as a fantastic getaway at a great price for what you get, just dont expect the world with every last detail and spend some of the money you save on a few nice meals out! Circus is a great family run Italian, 5 mins cab from hotel! Nearly forgot, have a foam massage in the Turkish Spa in the hotel, great experience!

We stayed at the resort for 2 weeks in sept/oct in one of the bungalow rooms. On the whole we were very pleased however there were a few down sides which were the bed being very hard, the pool was far to cold to go in and the pool bar kept running out of popular drinks every few days.
The food was very good and there was a wide choice, we also went to the Italian restaurant which was lovely. We would also recommend the pancakes and ice cream which are served every day.
The entertainment team did try but it was not the best, also all of it takes places outside which started getting cold towards the end of our stay so they did bring it in side to the shopping/lobby area, however this meant if you wanted a quiet night you really needed to stay in your room.
The staff were very helpful and always greeted you with a friendly smile.
We would go back to this hotel but would pick a hotter time of year.

This resort is spotlessly clean. If put in the hotel demand to be moved to one of the spacious and lovely bungalows. Food leaves a lot to be desired as it is normally luke warm or cold, hence the microwave in the Panorama restuarant. If you are used to having a choice of egg dishes for breakfast forget it! Either a cold bullett hard boiled egg with omelette one day,or fried egg and the oil tipped onto your plate or poached egg another day so work out your day for your favourite. One toaster to serve all the guests so the queues can be extensive so don't get your eggs first.
Entertainment is poor, Animation do their bit in the theatre which is miles from the bar and there was very little other entertainment during the evening except for a one man band type playing an organ and blowing a trumpet - an acquired taste!
The location is perfect being just a couple of minutes walk to the nearest shops. The hotel shops ( 2) are more expensive than the town. The resort is not suitable for the less mobile as it is built on a cliff. If you are unlucky enough to be in the hotel or bungalows near it you have to contend with a hill resembling a ski piste to get to the amentiies. The relax pool is literally just that, no bar, if you want tea forget it as there iwas never any milk. Soft drinks only available. You may need to take your own towel as there is literally only 1 towel per bed and as usual you get those greedy people taking 2 or more.
Overall the hotel is a typical 3star and certainly not 4 or even the 5 stars the holiday brochure states in it's text describing it.

All in all a great holiday location for relaxation.
The rooms were lovely. The staff were fantastic and prompt at dealing with requests. The cleaners regularly cleaned the room and changed the towels on a daily basis.
The only thing I would recommend improving is the food. Though there seems to be lots to choose from, it's repeats itself all week. After 3 days I was begging for something else.

everything else was fantastic, but the only things to complain about. Swimming pool, freezing, such a large pool on boiling hot days but no one could use it as it was just so cold, this included the baby pool. Everyone sweltering on the sunbeds but unable to even cool down. Ran out of many of the spirits and the beer seamed very watered down. compared to bars outside the resort. Beds are very hard and only given a sheet that is not big enough for two people to sleep underneath, saying that my partner had the best sleep in years on it. Thats about it. fantastic resort and will def go back.

Our one week all inclusive holiday with Sunwings was very good value. The resort complex consists mainly of bungalows and a hotel building where we were accommodated. This building is some distance away from the shops, restaurants and the beach but it is a pleasant walk. There are two outside pools, a large one with activities and loud music and a smaller, very quiet Relax pool, near the hotel building. The hotel building currently has only rooms and an indoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, and there are two tennis courts next to the building. Main restaurant has excellent position with views of sea and bay of Altinkum. Choice of food and free drinks was good not only at the main meal times but throughout the day. Temple of Apollo, a short dolmus ride away, is well worth visiting.

Had a wonderful week. Room in 'mini hotel' which was great as it was by the 'relax' pool which was a quiet area for sunbathing and swimming. Large very clean resort with large pool area and kids pool. Restaurant clean and well presented. Only downside was lack of waiter service for drinks, however not too much of a problem. Food good with lots of choice including freshly cooked specials each evening. All staff were extremely polite and friendly. Had a problem with the shower head and maintenance were working on it before we got back from reporting it to reception! Would definitely come back.
