A relatively easy half a day trip from Dhaka. This used to be the capital back in late 19th century and considering that I was surprised about how small it is, basically 1 street, Dhaka is slightly bigger now it's fair to say.
It's still worth checking out as the buildings are interestingly preserved.

This historical site is an amazing tourist attraction nestled in the midst of Panam City, a local town that was bustling with activity.

Easy day trip from Dhaka. Take a bus to Sonargaon from the Gulistan bus station near the stadium. It takes about one hour to Sonargaon bus terminal depending on traffic. Once there, take a cng to Panam City. Everyone knows where it is. It’s the reason to come here.

Ticket to the site is 100 takas. The place itself is charming. The buildings are still intact and well preserved. There is an office of the site manager near the entrance. Look for Mr Jahangir. He will give you a very comprehensive tour and give you access inside the buildings and roof top. Details inside the building are very well preserved. The views from the rooftop is excellent. Expect to pay a tip though, but it’s thoroughly worth it!

Well worth visiting Pan am city, which takes about 90 minutes to drive from the Gulsham area if Dhaka. Ancient well preserved city with beautiful buildings in a nice setting along parks and rivers. Allow about two hours to visit here. So many locals wanted selfies from the very few foreign tourists...it was fun to visit.

Panam Nagar is a must visit in Dhsks. It's located 45 minutes away from the city and it's easy to go by local bus or taxi. Entrance fee is 100 takas for foreigners.
