“Spacious and welcoming B&B”
Reviewed March 31, 2012

In terms of feeling comfortable in a B&B for 4 nights this is one of the best we've come across. The bedroom was spacious and airy with room for our suitcases and hiking gear. The shower room was also a good size with a really good shower. Nice balcony overlooking the attractive gardens and pool too.
Bev was friendly & helpful (gave us some wonderfully sweet water melon she brought back from the shops when she passed us in the garden) & got our not insubstantial amount of laundry back to us within a day.
The lounge facilities were excellent so we could read or browse the internet in even more comfortable surroundings rather than staying in the bedroom all evening.
Breakfast on the balcony was good - full English offered, plus fruit and toast and juice.
We didn't get help with the luggage either but that was our only minor complaint (and there's probably a very good reason why not) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
We ate at each of the recommended restaurants in the village but by far the best was the pub in the Tsiisikamma Village Inn.
In brief, highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ours was on 1st floor, left hand corner and was very good.

Liked the location near ziplines, bungee jump, Storms River Suspension Bridge, and restaurants. Bev is super helpful. Room had a porch, lots of light, modern bathroom. Sound proofing isn't fabulous but I went to the Garden Route to play, not to sleep in so that wasn't a problem.

We had a really nice stay while spending time at Tsitsikamma cycling and hiking. The service was very friendly and helpful, a delicious breakfast and our room was extremely spacious and modern. Bev even posted a phone charger we left behind by mistake, so helpful!! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Storms River or Tsitsikamma.

My wife and I stayed for only one night on our way to the Garden Route, but At The Woods Guest House proved to be a good choice. Storms River Village is small, but the Storms River Suspension Bridge and Nature’s Valley are not far away. Our accommodation was of a good standard as was our breakfast. Bev was a helpful and friendly host.

We stayed at At the Woods with our children for two nights and very much enjoyed it. The owner made us feel home during our entire stay. The breakfast was outstanding and we already looked forward to it the night before. They also offer free internet access and the lounge on the first floor gives room to relax.

We had a lovely one night stay "at the woods" which is a lovely Friendly B&B. The rooms we had were on the first floor and overlooked the mountains. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms excellent - with an amazing shower! They were well equppied with a stocked fridge. Breakfast was excellent! They had booked and reccomeded that we had lunch at the Fynboshoek Cheese Farm - this was excellent and I would definatley reccomend a visit nb: you must remember to take your own wine. Would definatley reccomend this B&B and we were so dissapointed that we were only able to stay one night.

Room Tip: Room on the second floor with view of the moutains is reccomended

We stayed At The Woods for a 1 night stopover on our way to Addo. The renovated guest house was beautiful. We had first floor rooms which were really spacious with all the little touches (fridge, plug, hairdryer, good wardrobe space, balcony with chairs, swimming towels. etc), and lovely views of the mountains. Great bathroom with big walk in shower too. There was a lovely swimming pool and the surrounding garden areas were really well kept. There was a really nice lounge area where we sat playing cards having a glass of wine (from the honesty bar) after our evening meal which we had at Rafters. I had emailed Bev prior to our stay asking for information on the surrounding area and she suggested we try lunch at Fynboshoek Cheese Farm which she booked for us. This was a highlight of our holiday. We met Alja who makes all his own cheese and has won International and National awards for his cheesemaking. The setting was perfect, sat overlooking the farm dam with an abundance of home made bread and all varieties of cheese plus lovely salads and coffee - a must if staying in the area. Breakfast was taken sat outside with choice of fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, cereals, croissants, and a choice of a hot cooked breakfast plus lovely fresh coffee. Very well organised and would definitely recommend.
