My hubby and I and another couple decided to book for a weekend at Tsitsikamma Lodge. We had seen the place many time before as we drove past on the N2. We enjoyed our stay and the food was exceptional. A lovely place to relax and unwind. Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to visit Tsitsikamma Lodge again Thank you

I have recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Tsitikamma Lodge and Spa, on arrival we were greeted by the very friendly office staff and then shown to our cabin, getting directions to all the facility as we went along the path, we were lucky enough to be put in to one of the recently refurbished cabins, WOW!!!! well done you guys on a job WELL DONE!!!!! the rooms look stunning. The food is absolutely scrumptious, the food is well prepared and presented and nothing is too much for the very friendly staff. A walk around the garden's can take one breath away it is beautiful, the flowers are amazing and makes you wish you could stay forever. I personally did not have any small children but was impressed with the facilities that they have for small children. Well done to the Manager's Leon and Nadine, you and your staff have really made this visit one to remember, I will most defiantly recommend Tsitikamma Lodge and Spa to anyone who wants a truly amazing holiday and break

Room Tip: All the rooms are awesome each one has a special quality of it own

We stayed at the Tsitsikamma Lodge for 2 days in August 2012.

The houses are really nice - enough space, clean, the upper beds are nice with the outlook.
Using the jacuzzi is unfortunately noisy - not just in the own lodge, even for the neighbors.

The staff is friendly and dedicated.

The buffet for breakfast and dinner is tasty, nice selection, meat is in good quality, salads, vegetables, very well. Fruits to choose.

But there are some improvements to do:
The is no wifi in the whole area. Internet access is available at an old filthy machine, the keyboard sticks of dirt. Speed is like snail - and it's 1 R per minute !! That's profiteering !!

The "employee of the month" explains very well and well practiced the possibilities of outdoor activities. But she doesn't know what's going on 20 minutes behind the lodges - there it's impossible to cross the creek - because of rain some time ago. that service sucks.

As it was our 28th wedding anniversary on 1st September 2012, I decided to take advantage of River Hotels special and booked us to stay at the beautiful Tsitsikamma Lodge in the Garden Route.

Our arrival on Friday 31st August saw us first investigating this awesome resort from wooden chalets with your own personal Jacuzzi to the games room consisting of pool, table tennis and darts to the majestic restaurant with its own fireplace and buffet eatery to the spa treatment room to the sparkling pool with water feature. We were really impressed!!

The staff from reception to waiters to cleaners were all so friendly and helpful we could not help but really relax, do nothing and enjoy ourselves. Once checked in we had a drink at the bar area of the hotel and then decided to light a fire for a braai. We had arranged a salad to be done from the kitchen as well as cutlery as each chalet is not self-catering. It was delivered to our chalet timeously where we could watch the sun set and really enjoy the rest of the evening. The weather was not so good on the 1st but that did not sway us from enjoying the day. From just relaxing in our chalet on the Saturday, to a couples massage and then later the afternoon enjoying a leisurely walk in the forest. It was just so awesome, not to mention the buffet breakfast we had as well as our booked dinner. Considering that the restaurant has to cater for so many people buffet-style, the food was out of this world. Sunday saw us just having our last breakfast and packing up to leave upon which the hotel had a take-away picnic basket ready for us. It was really a weekend we shall never forget and would really recommend this lodge to future patrons.

Stayed here for one night on the first leg of our garden route tour... The weather was bit gloomy and cold but the atmosphere of the hotel was perfect... All the chalets are build with wood and adds to the relaxing atmosphere.. The staff at the restaurant were very cheerful and willing to assist with anything... There is a nice fire place were we sat all evening and dark lots and lots of wine... the dinner was also nice... Looking at a few bad reviews we really wonder what could be the reason... Could be the value for money because we do not know the price per night as we stayed here as a part of our garden route tour package... For us it was perfect and we loved our short stay..
