Unfortunately there were very few reviews for Temple Gardens so we took a gamble based on the listed amenities, pictures, and location. From the moment we arrived we were quite disappointed. The pictures clearly show a different unit that what we got and make the place look considerably better than what we encountered. We arrived after our long flight from London and were given a very rushed greeting and shown to the house. No information was provided regarding the property, pool, etc. It was clear when we entered the house that it was in need of some serious attention. The furniture was stained and tired, the aircon was extremely loud, and curtains in the bedroom were ripped in multiple places. The linens were clean but well used and in need of replacement. There were a number of lights out and the water pressure was extremely poor. The water was also lukewarm. Given our jet lag we decided to ignore everything and get some rest. The following day we decided to make the most of it and relax by the pool. The constant hum of power washing, the dirty pool area, and the gang of dogs roaming did not make for a very relaxing environment. We decided to begin the search for alternative accommodation as 22 nights in these conditions would not be acceptable. It is also worth mentioning that although the property is near Fisherman's Village it is a good 10-minute walk and either cutting through the temple or along a busy road. At night it is also very dark and often the road is covered with water and debris. It is also impossible for most people to find you when organising excursions or transfers given that addresses don't really work in Thailand. Sadly we left after 5 nights. Luckily the Tripadvisor Holiday Lettings team worked with us upon our return to get back 50% of what we paid.
