Review of Cocooning Hotel
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jan 25, 2019via mobile
I came to visit my mum on Koh Tao and flew in to samui, Dave from cocooning organised a taxi transfer to the hotel which was on time, took me straight there, I was greeted by a lovely lady who showed me my room and also gave me my ticket for the morning ferry, and arranged a taxi transfer to the ferry port in the morning, the room was great, no mozzies!!! Had a great nights sleep, very quiet, no noise from any bars or clubs. I would highly recommend this place, so well organised. Thanks again cocooning.

Me and my husband stayed here quite a few time when we came to samui. The hotel just located in the best location of fisherman's village where there was a walking street every week. And also there were a lot of restaurants around that u can go to eat. The room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I really recommend to stay here if you wanted to stay in fisherman's village and not too expensive.

As regulars to Samui we never miss a Friday night down at Fishermans Village for the walking street evening market.
Owned by Dave 🇬🇧 and wife Teresa 🇸🇪 this is a great base to stay on Samui, there’s nothing that Dave, previously a dive instructor on Koh Tao can’t help with or advise on, ensuring you get the best out of your trip to Samui be it on a budget or splashing the cash. Friday nights are great here in the bar, a meeting hub for many an expat now residing on this beautiful island.
My name for Dave is Huggy Bear, as he always knows ‘what’s going down on the street’ 👌

This was a great find in Fisherman's Village, popped in for a drink one Friday night and got talking to the owner, Dave, who turned out to be the oracle on what's happening around Koh Samui. We followed several of his recommendations and were not disappointed. He recommended Chez Francois's restaurant and booked us in at short notice and this ranks as one of our best dining experiences. If you're in Fisherman's village on a Friday night when the market is on, pop in for a drink and I'm sure Dave will be glad to share his Samui knowledge.

I stayed here for a few nights last week when I needed emergency dental work done. The owner, Dave, was such an awesome guy who made the transition to Samui life a breeze. He helped explain the good places to eat, where to find a nice drink, and made us feel like family.

The room itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. Located just on the beginning of Fisherman's Village you get all of the benefits without the noise and hustle/bustle.

If you want to stay in a quiet hotel conveniently located in Fisherman's Village here is the place. Dave will make you feel right at home and I for one would not stay at any other place when I go back.

This was my 3rd time staying on Samui and Cocooning was by far my favourite place I’ve stayed.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Cocooning hotel and were blown away by how amazing it was. Dave and Therese (the owners) welcomed us on arrival. From the minute we got there until when we left they were unbelievably helpful, from beach and restaurant recommendations to which tailors to go to, they helped us out with proper local knowledge.

In terms of location Cocooning is perfect. A lot of the hotels in Fisherman’s Village would be too loud at night for us as we wanted a relaxed and romantic break. Cocooning is just at the start of the village so nice and quiet, yet two minutes walk away you are in the thick of things.

Overall a brilliant place to stay and fantastically helpful owners. Next time I’m in Samui I will 100% stay here again!
