We stayed 4 nights, 500 baht/ fan bungalow, clean, pretty, comfortable bed, new mosquito net, hot water at bathroom. Each bungalow seems different, some have hammocks on the porch, inside they look cosy, simply decorated with good taste. You wont miss the green as along the alleys the trees are making a beautiful curtains where you can spot squirrels. Resto on the beach, nice deco but most dishes are overpriced. Staff is nice and helpfull. Beach is fine.
For 200 baht/ day you can rent a scooter to travel around the island. Nearby, the Fisherman Village has nothing to do with any fisherman, nor any village, is just a bunch of new restos, pubs, bars and shops, full of tourists and high prices. For the cheapest good food you can go on the main road (pad thai at 70 bath, grilled snapper for around 170 bath).
TIP FOR SNORKELLING: take a scooter, go to the south of the island at Thong Tanod, enter the Coconut Villa and at the end of the road you will see a small messy house facing the sea. They do cheap trips: covered boat, 2 pers, 4 hrs - total 1400 baht, you can see 2 islands: Koh Tan for coral reefs and Koh Mudsum for swimming and chill out.
