We are nearly at the end of a two week chilled and relaxed holiday here at the Bo Phut Resort and Spa and I'm sad to be leaving.

We are lucky enough to have stayed at amazing hotels around SE Asia including The Oberoi group, Edison Boutique in Penang and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore but I have to say this boutique hotel matches the service we had in all of those hotels.

The staff are fantastic, each and everyone with a smile on their face and always willing to help. From the guys around the pool checking on you to see if you need umbrellas adjusting throughout the day to the great Restaurant staff who again nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are cleaned twice a day with little touches such as cables tided and dressing gowns folded, washing hung outside and slippers by the bed. Twice a day your shampoo, conditioner, body creams and shower gel filled up in their China containers. I've not used any of mine all holiday as they have been lovely to use. Oh and the fresh fruit in your room each day a nice touch.

We had a birthday while staying here and didn't utter a word but came back to the room with Happy Birthday written in individual flowers on the bed and a cake. So thoughtful.

Location couldn't be better, right on the beach and a short walk from Fishermans Village.

Do yourself a favour, book this quaint very relaxed happy hotel, I'm sure you won't regret it.

Room tip: We had a garden room, which was lovely and didn't feel the need to upgrade as pool area so nice.

This resort is lovely, the staff are very accommodating and there are some amazing massage parlours on the strip.

It’s a 5 minute walk to fisherman’s village, which is really nice place to go for a walk in the evening for dinner and scout about.

Chaweng was a 15 minute drive and Lamai was about a 30 minute drive. The airport is approximately a 15 minute drive.

The rooms were lovely and were cleaned twice a day which was a nice touch.

I personally found our room was a little outdated.

We attended the Muay Thai class which was really good fun. The instructors were brilliant and corrected the technique. Again the room they taught in, was outdated and would perhaps be more appealing in a room overlooking the beach.

Bo Phut Spa and Resort holds a very special place in my heart. I returned in August this year for my ninth visit. It is a boutique hotel with traditional Thai charm. The villas are very spacious and the grounds, including pool area are just beautiful. They have two restaurants, one overlooking the ocean and the other restaurant overlooks the beautiful grounds and large pond, both serve wonderful, tasty food. Bo Phut also has a lovely spa which is well worth a visit. It is located within walking distance to many other restaurants and to the Fisherman's Village which has many shops and more restaurants.
What makes me return to Bo Phut, apart from being in the most relaxing, beautiful setting is the staff; they are attentive, very kind and very professional, continually anticipating their guests needs without being intrusive.
Our special thanks must go to Nick and Pen who ensure we have a wonderful, memorable stay that leaves us wanting to return year after year. Thank you also to Nok, Eek, Toy, Daeng, Ae, Ice and Non along with all the other staff who make this hotel the special place that it is. Huge thanks to you all.

We generally stay in high end hotels but this time we thought we would try something a little different as we were having a holiday on the cheap. This resort did not let us down. Staff were amazing and so friendly. Nothing was a bother to them. Rooms were clean. Buffet breakfast was great. Location was great. Highly recommended if you want to save your money.

I am sat writing this review on the last day of our honeymoon waiting for the rainshower to pass over. I honestly can't say enough about this hotel. As the other reviews have
said, the hotel is beautiful and we have also been blown away by the service and warmness provided by every single member of staff.

For me it's the little things- like when you order tea at breakfast they give you a slightly larger mug, and when you order coffee they bring a jug of warmed milk. The coffee is also freshly brewed and made to order. The guys by the pool are so attentive you can't even move without one of them altering the brolly to give more or less shade throughout the day. They bring cold towels and fruit round at midday. Your bag will be placed on a bag stand at lunch and dinner! The room is serviced twice a day,to such a high standard- they tidy your electronic cables and rearrange your toiletries so neatly, fold your clothes and put out slippers and plug in a mosquito killer every night. They fumigate the grounds too so mosquitos were never really a problem! I could go on...

Food and drink:
The cocktails were lovely and reasonably priced at 280bht each with 50% off at happy hour. The restaurant is also priced very similarly to restaurants in Fisherman's Village, about 250bht for a green curry with rice. Well worth a couple of visits to Sala Thai as the food is amazing! We lunched at the main restaurant too, very nice pizzas, again around 250bht! Worth noting that they have a gluten free menu plus if they know in advance the best gluten free bread for breakfast. Breakfasts were one of the best we have had anywhere and everything you could want. The egg station did yummy scrambled eggs.

Amazing! Yes you can get massages cheaper elsewhere but the 45min back massage was the same price as in the UK so definately worth a treat.

It is 15min stroll to Fisherman's Village where there are lots of places to eat and night markets to visit every other night or so. As other reviews have mentioned the road is busy, and there isn't a foot path as such. But if this is going to bother you then maybe Thailand isn't the place for you?

There is also a supermarket right across from the hotel to get water etc. The guard at the hotel will stop traffic to help you cross the road.

There are daily activities such as yoga, tai-chi, muay thai, flower making, fruit carving, kayaking. All for free!

The beach is beautiful but it is coarse and hard to walk on. The water is murky and not clear like other parts of the island. It didn't bother us as the hotel more than makes up for it!

We have had such a lovely time and would return in a heart beat. Thank you to all the staff, you have made our holiday.
