“Romantic, private resort”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2014

Very nice resort, well designed, clean, spacious rooms, nice toiletries, good breakfast.
The pool is very nice; there is a chlldren's or wading pool. The beach is fine; there is a limited number of sunbathing chair at the beach. In the morning the hotel offers a cold towel and a piece of fruit while sunbathing. Activities on the beach are very limited. Wind surfing is the most exciting one. Ask for instruction on the days it is offered. Not much else is going on. Breakfast is fine. Pancakes made to order quite good as are fried rice or noodles with (only two) shrimp.
On Monday night small reception offered by the management. It is fine. The resort charges for that transfer from and to the airport (600 B each way).It is not far to walk to the Fishermen's Village where there are some decent restaurants and, on Saturday night, a market selling food, drink etc. outdoors. There is also an OK restaurant right in front of the hotel. Spa is very expensive. You can find similar service elsewhere along the street facing the hotel. Overall, a good choice. Most of all it is clean, even though bedsheets and towels looked a bit frayed and old.

Room Tip: If you have money to spend, reserve a private villa with dipping pool. Otherwise a garden room will...

We came to the Bo Phut Resort & Spa following a tour of mainland Thailand, seeking R&R .....and it was everything we wished for. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at this hotel, the postion, surroundings and wonderful staff made this a memorable visit. Nothing is too much trouble and there is a lot of attention to detail. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a secluded villa as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, a lovely suprise...they had even made us a cake! The food is of a high standard with both the poolside restaurant and another restaurant within the grounds, The owners of the hotel also have two restaurants in 'Fishermans Village', walking distance from the Hotel. We ate at one of them, at a table on the beach at Krua Bophut...fab, very romantic. The management really make an effort and there are various events scheduled during the week, dining on the beach, lobster night, cocktail party and a complimentary 3 hour tour of Koh Samui. The pool and the beach are excellent and the pool staff can't do enough for you, especially if you are like us and require plenty of shade, they ensured we were well protected by moving the parasol regularly. Plus....cold towels and mango around noon.
As previously mentioned 'Fishermans Village' is a short distance from the hotel, with lots of excellent eating places and market stalls & vendors, try the coconut ice cream.
The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and very well maintained. The whole place has an air of peace and tranquility.
We cant wait to go back!

Room Tip: Our bungalow was superb, but I would imagine that all the rooms here are excellent, the room service...

This was a wonderful hotel, certainly boutique! It was beautiful. Our Garden suite was upgraded to one with a private pool, this was fantastic. We used our pool each afternoon and ordered food from room service and put cheap beers from the shop on the main road in the fridge. It is the best 5 star we have stayed in. Nice pool, good breakfast, lovely well looked after beach. It was almost full, but quiet, first hotel I've been to with no rushing for sun beds (in fact it was relaxed and most guests didn't do breakfast till 10am) the staff were very attentive, especially the pool and beach attendants. The hotel is so very tidy and clean, they would come to clean our room twice a day, including setting the room for day and night (putting up /pulling down al the shutters etc). They would frequently go the extra mile putting on candles, leaving fresh fruit daily, fresh flowers, and scattered flower petals. It was my wife's birthday and they gave her a cake...and sang to her at breakfast! It's only 10 mins to the fisherman's village and 5 mins to the main road where there are great restaurants and bars. Truly the majority of these restaurants were great, and cheap by English standards. We particularly loved Nirvana and Fifty-six fusion - these were the top two, the Shack was good for non-Thai food. We also loved the Frog and Gecko pub. At the Fisherman's village there is also a weekly large evening market which you have to visit.
The best hotel we have been to to date, if you are after a quiet, beautiful hotel with a laid back atmosphere, and love visiting local restaurants - this is for you!! We are certain to return in the future.

Once again an unforgettable experience! We will never forget the warm welcome and the friendship of the whole crew of this outstanding resort. A very, very nice stay, the 8th in the last years. This a house for people looking for really relaxing holidays, without permanent noise and music. A little paradise full of flowers, odors, birds an beautiful bushes and trees.

Room Tip: Try the garden villas! Best situated in a green environment, calm and private!

This hotel resort has a very special feel to it. It is low density with a maximum of 120 guests so that everything is generous. The gardens are extensive and beautifully kept, they have also been cleverly designed so that each room or villa has maximum privacy. There is always a choice of sunbeds by the beach or pool and the poolside team really look after you to ensure that each guest has the amount of sun / shade that they prefer. For the more active traveller there are activities (many that are free such as the following) windsurfing, Thai fruit and veg carving or a mini tour of the island. As vegetarians the food at breakfast and in the Sala hotel resort was fabulous. The staff are great, really professional and keep the whole place running to a meticulously high standard.

Room Tip: We had a Jacuzzi room which was on the third floor. This meant it was very private and overlooked th...

This place is stunning! I work in the travel industry so have seen a few hotels but the service and attention to detail at the Bophut Resort is the best I have experienced anywhere. Thank you for a delightful stay, we will be back!
