“Unless you are desperate, don't go their.”
Reviewed August 15, 2012 via mobile

When we arrived we bought a voucher for the mini bus to the various hotels. The driver had a problem finding ours and we got a free tour of the island but finally made it. On arrival, the staff we met could only speak minimal English. After a bit of negotiation we discovered via a third party an Indian tour guide working their that we had been given "compensation" because there were no services due to renovations. The main pool had a bar but it never opened or had any waiter service. The place was basically deserted, staff in the dinig room were slow and were constantly hovering to snatch your plate when they thought you were finished. The food was okay but the breakfast was boring with the same menus all week. Beds were rock hard and the lift on the 3rd floor where we were only worked on occasion.

After 4 days of this we upgraded to a beach hut..em...the only nice thing about this was the view. The bed was hard, the air conditioning sounded like a MAC truck in the room and the shower was hard to get into. The place was poor value, tired and run down but it has potential and is undergoing some pool and bar renovations. Access to the beach is available but not easy. We took this on a Spreets deal and it looks nothing like the pictures. Owned by Bangkok Airways it is used for their air crews to stay over and they get the better rooms. If you stay and want a taxi, walk outside and ask for Joe, he gives good service and is reliable.

Dear guests,

Thank you for your comment on this stage. We will collect all your points and improve as we have on future plan. We also would like to take this time to clarify some points is effect with our normal operation and service.

As i understand that the voucher bus is brought from your side not concern with the property and we can much control if you made own decision to have this service, actually we have our transportation service and am sure all should well organize.

The accommodation we have many channel for guest they can choose with difference way but we have our structure as well to offer.

The renovation is the main issue that we highly to say sorry for any inconvenience, but now anything are on place and start normal service and nicer from last 3 months.

The breakfast is standard in every where around the world depend how much you pay but in my opinion here very good option for breakfast...We can not change daily operation without standard.

The main thing, the resort open for every one and tried to offer a good service and guest comfortable what we can but not for who or specify group or segment.

However, we prompt and accept any comment as you mentioned and will be meet with our team and find out how to improve in very soonest.

Thank you very much

This was our third and final stop on our tour of Samui and Koh Tao.
On arrival we were concerned that everything looked somewhat old and in need of a re paint. Equally it was rather quiet and that was a worry, a distinct lack of people.
We were shown to our room and told that we had been upgraded to a deluxe villa with a view of the pool.
I have the experience in my life to tell you how bloody awful this place is, so much so that we checked back out within 30 mins of arriving. The pool was empty of water and under going repair. Our room was in desperate need of refurbishment, the bed was not something I wanted to sleep on.....the list goes on. We were not told in advance of the lack of pool. This all came as huge disappointment.
A very sub standard hotel all round, we did have a quick look round before we left but it's very poor from start to finish.

Dear guest,

Thank you for your comment, as investigated that you booked based on lowest category and then our staff upgrade to higher than with same rate to keep your satisfaction. In fact the room in here was very good value for money compared with size / space and also 3 swimming pools for available, the main pool was under construction but we still have 2 more pools and also bigger available. I think it is quick judge only 30 minutes compared with how much spent. Anyhow, we will collected the comment and keep moving to rmprovement in near future and please noted that now our renovation plan was finished since couple months a go, nicely to open and welcome for all guests again as usual.

Thank you for comment

If you are looking for a resort experience then this isn't going to give it to you. Currently the beach pool and restaurant are a building site. There are other pools but no food or bar service. The temporary restaurant is a joke.... Characterless internal office type space. It's a huge place so the cheap room deals are a fair way from the beach. I upgraded to a beach front villa and as far as location and view it was perfect. The room was huge, but the bed was like a block of cement and I ended up folding the doona and sleeping on that to try to make it bearable. There were people staying here on $30night deals.... I am sure they felt they got their money's worth. Spend more and stay at any one of the many resorts along this lovely stretch of beach. It's a great spot, quiet, but with lots of restaurants and bars along the beach to Fisherman Village..... Much nicer location that Chawang or Lamai. Definitely don't go to Samui Palm Beach until the pool renovation is finished (they don't tell you about it until you have checked in and paid).

Dear guest,

first of all, we would like to thank you for you comment and will take this time to clarify followed your comment as well. Absolutely, we very sorry for any inconvenience during your stay under renovation period. The usual construction have to have limited service is true but we believed that we already have alternative service on place for our guest they can ask for. Anyhow, for a moment we are finished all refurnished and all facilities are on place and must more nicer than the pass. The accommodation at here very good value for money compared size and space plus facilities we offered. We still moving on the overall improvement to improve it. As you said we are located on lovely beach and view and also here is quiet and peace suitable for who looking for real holiday time not for night life and party.

Again, Please informed that we are done for renovate and look forward to welcome for all guests to get experience with our facilities and service again as usual.

Thank you very much

We came to a wedding party and discovered this resort. The resort was one of the best we ever stayed at and their service was very impressive. The resort is quite away from the entertainment center but transportation was not a big problem. We hope to come back next time!

Stayed here on business for one night. Check-in was convenient and fast, staff friendly at all times. I found the room being quite spacious, comfy and clean. I didn't enjoy the bed too much, as it was relatively firm for me, but still ok. A/C worked superb and kept me chilled during the night.
The hotel restaurant I went to for dinner is at a higher price level compared to normal Thai prices and serves both Thai and European food. Of course, I went for some Thai curry and it was delicious.
For my early check-out I was given breakfast in box to take away, which I found very attentive.
All in all, I would stay here again, but probably choose one of the beachfront bungalows. The hotel complex is undergoing some renovation at the moment, this will certainly improve the experience as the potential is definitely already there.

We thought the spreets deal was too good to be true and it was! In need of a lot of work. Currently under renovation so the place was like a ghost town with no beach acccess, no bars, no service, no gym, no atmosphere and not a friendly face to be found. We blew our money and checked out after two nights and moved to Peace resort which was amazing! I will never go back!

Room Tip: stay away from this resort

We got a great deal to stay one night with our 2 kids and got 2 rooms. They are large and clean with all the usual facilities. Only one of the pools seemed to be in use (but it is HUGE) and it's an easy walk to the beach through the resort. The resort did seem a little deserted - not that we minded. The breakfast buffet was fine.
It looks as though the renovation work is foreseen to go on a lot longer than planned.
