I stayed here with my husband for our 10 day honeymoon. On arrival we were greeted at reception and provided with a frozen towel and drink complete with fan which was great after our long journey. Our bags and we were then transported via golf buggy to our room. We stayed in a beach front cottage 222 and had a good view of the sea and beach pool area. The room was lovely and air conditioned. I love the little details at this hotel the little flowers etc. There was plenty of wildlife too!
Loved the sound if the frogs in the evening! We went on a few trips the day safari was the best highly recommend! Perfect for honeymoon and couples but probably not great for kids. We took a kayak out a few times which was great. The half moon pool was lovely and you are given plenty of cool water. Water is available free at all times. We did the beach BBQ which was great and the full moon dinner. We went to the butlers restaurant too which was lovely. The restaurants on site are great. Warning though this is a 5 star hotel and the prices are similar to that you would expect in London. Tip get your drinks during happy hour. You can get a taxi to chewang for 400 baht but we didn't think much of chewang to be honest. The boat trips are excellent too. Was a bit worried about the weather this time of year but it was ok except one day where we got quite wet. The staff are amazing especially the juice lady and bar staff. This hotel is very relaxing and just what we needed. You will have a great time here!

Our only 2 nites stay in a pool villa type seems too short. Our short break in Tongsai Bay was one of the best we had so far. This hotel staff were friendly and offered first class service. The buggy was on call and the next minute it's already in front of our door. The breakfast including the fresh juice were good. We also tried dinner at Chef Chom and the food was also great. Although the wooden floor seems aging, the villa is clean and perfect for a quite and private break. Small things, like serving a small box of snacks and cookies twice a day have added the value of the pleasant stay here.

The staff also handled our complaint well. When we arrived at the airport and found that no pick up service we requested was provided, the staff checked and later reported that the hotel did ask Agoda before our arrival but was the later did not respond and that's the reason of no pick up. I also commented on this to Agoda thru it's email survey.

For the price it should be one of the best. But what makes Tong Sai Bay work is the number of years it has been running and for me, the breakfast. The breakfast is awesome. Having lived in Thailand for ten years we don't often to get to eat a fried breakfast with fresh fruit, cheese, cold meat cuts. Yes fve stars for the breakfast alone. Great.

The location is a cute little cove the bottom of a hillside - steep walk up that hill - private beach that was too choppy to swim in whilst we were there. The swimming pool, or swimming poos - there's two - are fantastic. The food was fantastic - seafood, steak, all sorts. We didn't in fact leave the resort for out entire stay. Everything we needed was there, and having lived on Ko Samui before we had seen all the tourist sites already.

The rooms were fantastic and the bathrooms out of this world. Can't say anything bad about this resort. Did I mention the breakfast?

Got back last week from a great holiday in Thailand. Had a fabulous week in Tongsai Bay. We loved the hotel more and more the longer we stayed, especially the food which was excellent, the breakfast is a magnificent feast that could not be bettered, and the beach and swimming pool area was a lovely place to spend a day lazing in the sun, being served cold water, cold towels and fruit. We had an indifferent start, the lady that tried to show us to our room spoke very little English, she could not answer any of our questions, she got lost trying to find our room. And the rooms (Cottage suite) slightly disapointed us (bit tired). But overall we had a great time, all the staff were superb, although we encountered language problems from time to time. Service was generally excellent, with the odd occasional lapse (they forgot to send a golf cart up to us when it was raining because I think they were busy). On my wifes birthday they gave us champagne and a birthday cake at breakfast which was a lovely touch. My advise for anyone considering going to Tongsai would be to upgrade to a better room because it is a great place to spend your holiday.

Room Tip: Consider upgrading because it's a great place

The best hotel I've ever stayed in! We stayed in tongs bay in July and I can honestly say from the minute we arrived to the minute we left were some if the happiest days of my life. From the reception staff who greeted us and brought us to our room , michael the manager who made himself known to everyone, the breakfast fruit lady and restaurant waiting staff, sous chef, chef mark, I can honestly say that they all went out of their way to make your holiday a special one.
It was the most perfect place for a holiday and I shall definitely be back. We were in a poolside room initially but on our wedding anniversary we had a knock at the door which brought a bottle of cava and a beautiful card! This was followed the next day by a room upgrade to one of the villas overlooking the half-moon pool. This was also a fabulous room , it was spacious with a large balcony and had a kitchen area, sun beds, bath and a day bed. It was paradise.
The beach BBQ night was fabulous and when we were there it was the hotels birthday and there was a great cocktail evening to celebrate with a birthday cake brought in by the staff . I also have to recommend the Thai cooking class with mark , again perfect in every way.
I have never stayed at a hotel quite like this, it had everything one could ask for , it was made especially perfect by the attitude of the staff and management, I don't think I stopped smiling during my entire time here. I will definitely be back and have recommended it highly to many.

while my family and our friends and their friend are still here in this lovely hotel i want that every one will know that this is one of the best hotels i ever been and we are used to go to many vacation and to dlx hotel - we took sea view cottage with connecting rooms (which can be a littele problem in thailand because not every time they have in hotels available rooms)-the rooms are beautifull and clean. the bath in the terrace was attraction for the children. service was excellent -always with smile ! food is best -breakfast was the best i ever ate !everything is fresh and made by reservation - the chef is in the kitchen all every morning and if someone wants special thing (like eggs benedict)- just he's the one who makes it! b.b.q night buffet on monday is must meal to eat !the beach is beautifull and the thing that when i seat in the pool i can see the children in the sea and although when i'm in my room at the terrace i can sea the beach - is very helpfull!
service is best! always with a smille ! everything we asked they were willing to help and do for us ! important to mention 2 things: 1. we made reservation directly to reservation center of the hotel -ms lawan gave excellent service and when i asked in advance for connecting rooms she even sent me the rooms number with hotel map so i will check if it's good for me.
2. yesterday sue -michael's (general manager of the hotel )wife came to ask how is our vacation and was really interested about the way we are having fun . very nice !
last thing : hotel is a littele isolate so whenever we want to go out - we need a taxi that the hotel make reservation for it - we are 2 families so for each direction we need to pay 600 baht.-these are things to know about it. taxi to choeng mon is 150 baht and is very close to hotel -even by walking.
in generall - the children and the adult want to stay here more !

Room Tip: when making reservation is good to ask for hotel's map just to see the location . for families...

We spent 10 days at Tongsai Bay on our Honeymoon! After reading numerous great reviews of the hotel we were worried it wasnt going to live up to it, but it did. Tongsai Bay was absolute perfection in everyway. From the moment we arrived the staff were brilliant. We were given arrival drinks and a cold towel which were much needed as the heat was pretty intense. All the way through the visit every member of staff we came into contact with was so happy, friendly and polite. (the crazy fruit ladies at breakfast could put a smile on anyones face!) We stayed in a Cottage suit which was by far the nicest hotel room we have stayed in. Great sized balcony area with outdoor bath, sunloungers and seating area, big living space then upstairs to the bedroon and large bathroom. In the evening time dont be surprised if there is a large lizard sharing your balcony! The room was immaculate and was kept that way by the staff the whole holiday. We had great little treats left in the room everyday....the cookies were very tasty! The half moon pool and the view was beautiful, if you want peace and quiet this is the place to be. The main pool on the beach was brilliant, the pool staff provided towels, water, fruit and cold towels throughout the day, even a little flag to wave if you wanted a drink from the bar! The resort is large and we were very grateful for the golf buggies that you could call and would take you anywere in the resort you wanted to go. When we arrived we said that we would try and walk around the resort but the heat certainly made us change our minds. The restaurants in the hotel were expensive but the food was amazing. We didnt eat in the hotel every night as there were other little villages and resorts nearby. The hotel would arrange for taxis to take you anywere you wanted to go who would also pick you up and bring you back. The choice of food at breakfast was incredible, the mad fruit ladies would make you smoothies of any flavour you wanted, the chefs would cook you up anything you asked for, I had never had sushi for breakfast before this trip but I would reccomend it. My husband and I cannot think of anything negative to write about Tongsai Bay, we will hopefully be able to go back sometime in the near future. We are jealous of anyone who is going here on a holiday but we are more than certain you wont be disappointed!

Room Tip: Cottage suits give you a great view of the resort and the bay!
