“Does what it says on the tin”
Reviewed August 26, 2014

I liked the views and the opulence, while also finding it faintly ridiculous such bling should be created to celebrate the godfather of enlightenment

“Old place”
Reviewed August 25, 2014

The place was very touristic and was under construction. The nearby Wat was way better! Yes the Buddha was big!

“Blessed by Monks”
Reviewed August 24, 2014

Beautiful small temple. For a small donations you can get a blessing from the monks and write your name on a tile used in construction of the temple. Not too many steps and when you reach to top you take a stick and hit the bells around the Big Buddha for good luck and make wishes.. I found this visit lovely to do with my teenage daughter, just make sure you bring something to cover your shoulders as a matter of respect. Yes there are market stalls at the bottom but its still a very serene, quiet place and well worth the visit.

Very inspiring place, you can donate to the temple and write your name in a tile. Be sure to take good sunscreen and a hat.
