We are currently staying in this location and had we not paid in advance through a third party we would have left and stayed somewhere else. It has a great location on the beach but they are closing down in sept and have really let everything go. We paid premium for a sea front villa but have not even managed a hot shower in 3 days despite having them to fix it every evening. The traditional rooms are a bit tatty when you walk to the bathroom the whole floor shakes. This might be considered cute , just not at 3 am if your parameter needs to use the bathroom... The breakfast is excellent, but not worth the expense of the stay.

I travel very frequently and choose to stay at a range of accommodation options both in Australia and around the world. I am a marketing manager for an accommodation provider in Byron Bay in Australia, so I understand what to expect when visiting a Hotel / Resorts website and reading reviews. What I would like to say is that out of all of the Hotels and Resorts in the world, my husband and I chose Le Paradis Resort to host 16 of our extended family and friends (as well as ourselves) for our wedding in Thailand in March 2009. I can honestly say that I was absolutely more than happy with every element of Le Paradis Resort - and after reading some of the those negative reviews - would question some of these reviewers personalities and expectations. The service was impeccable from the moment I made contact with the resort 5 or 6 months prior to our stay - making every request possible without hesitation. Our group chose to stay in both the traditional and the Authentic Thai rooms - which were both boutique and very warm. Our room was the modern room - which was on the large side with an outdoor bathroom that was serene and a perfect place to relax and take some time out to freshen up from the wedding activities. As we have been to Koh Samui a few times prior to this visit, we were quite familiar with the range of hotels and resorts on the island... however as we chose to walk the length of the beach each day - we soon discovered and agreed that there was not one other place that we would have preferred to stay in regards to location, aesthetics of the hotel or ambience / serenity - as the rest of our group also agreed. The location was absolutely perfect as it was out of the hectic "starbucks" area of Samui - however was still within the main street of Chaweng Beach (also ideal as it was at the Lamai end of Chaweng).

What potential guests probably would not know about this resort is that it is so beautifully constructed primarily with green vegetation surrounding. No road noise - extremely quiet and almost impossible to bump into anyone else due to the fortunate and very well designed locations of each of the bungalows / rooms. The pool directly overlooks the beach and the restaurant sits adjacent (fantastic food may I add) and the spa / Massage / gym area also adjacent to the pool!

I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to stay at Le Paradis Resort - Ms Mira Ervasti the assistant the front office assistant manager was an absolute pleasure to be in contact with - so much so that I have just recently booked my husbands brother and wife in for a week on their honeymoon in June 2010.

If you want to stay somewhere that is not laden with tourists, that does not lack in quality but offers competitive prices and has impeccable service - absolutely book this resort... it is a holiday within Koh Samui itself and if you are not pleased... I doubt you would have of been pleased anywhere else on the island also! A HUGE thanks to Mira and the staff! You were all so incredibly fantastic and we will definitely be back and will continue to recommend you!!

Checked out a number of reviews of Le Paradis and decided to spend Sonkran (Thai new year) there. Quite disappointed. A nice garden setting but bungalows in serious need of updating/maintenance, as is pool restaurant area. Broken floorboards in both restaurant and around pool, quite dangerous! Our Thai style bungalow had creeking floorboards and bathroom gives a very dated impression with mouldy spots here and there. In spite of lack of maintenance, restaurant was enjoyable, overlooking beach, good food, wine at decent prices for Thailand and superb staff during our stay. Wish I could say same for reception staff, not very friendly/helpfull. Would not recommend this place, many better alternatives at prices they charge.

We stayed in Le Paradis 3 nights. It was a very nice staying. The room was nice, clean. Not too big.The bathroom was great.Outside the room,,with a large tube.Very romantic.
The reception staff was nice, but not very kind. The pool and bar staff was very efficient and kind.
The breakfast was repetitive. No buffet.we ask what we want.
The food at the pool bar was good and not expensive.
But the best of the hotel are the location nd the gardens.Superb location in Chaweng beach.just a short walking to reach the agitation, restaurante, shops, etc
The hotel beach is great.Quiet.The only bad thing is the presence of the jetskis agencies in the morning and afternoon.

I had truly memorable time at this paradise resort. i travelled world over but never seen such paradise resort. superb!! is under statement..
pros - perfect location - on the beach front, when you get out of gate you r in town.. so best of both worlds., big bathrooms and bdrooms, very pampering environment, very clean, love smell of aroma oil in the room, excellent cocktails and vegetarian food by chef, nice pool over looking beach, quite and peaceful.
cons - can't think of any.

My Husband and I have just spent 12 blissful days at Le Paradis resort over Christmas and we enjoyed everything about it. It is positioned so well on Chaweng beach...not too close to the bar and restaurant action to keep you awake and not too far if you want to join in. The pool is very well positioned as well, especially if you are not a beach person...you can lie at the pool all day and not miss any of the action on the beach. The restaurant is very close to the pool and very casual but excellent food.
The staff are all incredibly helpful and the room we stayed in was great. We chose a contemporary villa because we like space and they are a bit roomier than the traditional rooms. We loved our outdoor bathroom and the mosquito's are manageable...certainly not a deal breaker. We booked through Agoda and found the whole experience to be very proffesional and a very affordable route to take.
We highly recommend hiring a scooter and getting around the Island a bit.....The Cliff bar & Grill south of Nicki beach was a good restaurant with a fantastic view. Prego was another favourite in Chaweng town...close to Amari beach resort.
My husband is a golfer and there is an absolutely wonderful 9 hole course very close to Le Paradise and a brilliant 18 hole course a it further up north. Very well worth lugging the golf clubs all the way from South Africa.
Every time we did a long walk on Chaweng beach and looked at all the other resorts , we were doubly thrilled with our choice of Le Paradis....it's an all round winner!
