We were very happy with our stay at Peace Resort. Our room was private and very modern and elegant with adorable bird cage accents! Breakfast was good, as was the cooking class we did at the resort on a rainy day. Also, very professional and friendly service at the reception. Highly recommended:)

We chose Peace Resort because it was advertised as a family friendly environment. While we do not have children, we preferred a family environment because we did not want an environment that was the young loud partying crowd. We could not have chosen a nicer spot for the price. The food was good, the service excellent, the staff always friendly and exceedingly helpful. La at the beachside bar was great fun and mixed a delicious drink. The folks at the front desk were extremely accommodating. The original room we booked was quite nice, but had limited view to the lush outside environment. When we asked about a possible upgrade the staff was very helpful in identifying a bungalow #210, which was ideal and just what we were looking for. While at a glance some of the bungalows seem rather close together, it was rare that we were disturbed by the other guests near us. Truly it was a most peaceful and relaxing vacation. The only critique we could make was a rather continental breakfast buffet, which I understand may be what the majority of tourists prefer. I was hoping for more Thai options on the buffet, but that is simply my preference. Having said that I did note that many of the surrounding restaurants, (and we ate at many of them), also serve a lot of foreign food and a somewhat predictable selection of Thai food. I'm for local fare, so my comments may not be reflective of most travelers tastes. Over all, Peace Resort is an excellent choice and we would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms nearer the beach are more costly, but you hear little road noise and you can hear the tide.

We rented a garden villa which was quite nice. We were lucky to get a villa which is more remote and more quite. Others were closer to the pool which is very noisy during the day. No blackout curtains which is expected in an above average hotel.
The resort is beautifully built with lots of facilities. The pool is way too small for such a size of resort. You need to go and "book" a sunbed early in the morning in order to get a good spot. Family friendly and can be very noisy during the day.
Restaurant is very good, but a bit pricey. Breakfast choice is great.
Staff very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Peace Resort for 6 nights just before Christmas.
First off, we ordered a private car to pick us up at the airport. Nobody came. We ended up taking a shuttle van (130 baht...well worth it, and Peace is the first stop.). Nice and clean and took about 15 minutes. The front desk said that maybe someone was waiting on the second floor of the airport for me so they didn't see me. I told them that the airport has only one floor...everyone gets picked up at the same spot...can't miss it. They screwed up. Get your rides and bikes from Alissa Travel a few minutes down the road.
Although the weather was so so, it was nice and warm. The hotel is a nice 10-minute walk to the night market at Fisherman's Village, and worth checking out. There is a shopping center there, too. We preferred the market on the other side of the street where the locals go. Much cheaper, just no English worth mentioning spoken.
The room at the resort was nice. We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms which were located the farthest away from the lobby, but very nice. You can close the glass sliding doors which surround the king-size bed and keep the aircon on dry. Good for drying your laundry, too.
Good flatscreen tv, decent channels. Wifi is....good enough.

Didn't order room service...prefer the little restaurant (k siri) just outside the entrance to the right. Cheap and very good.

Breakfast was okay. Some times good, sometimes so so. Even some of the staff complained to me about the way things are run. But, you can get good eggs, fruit, pretty crispy bacon, coffee (instant?) and tea...juice, etc.

The pool was nice and clean, with plenty of chairs. The beach was rough, but the water was warm. The beach is a little steep, so probably not so good for little kids to go very far out (5 meters at most). Anyway, I enjoyed working out in the gym, which was good enough with free weights, bikes, etc. 400 baht per hour massage near the pool, which my wife enjoyed. A good, safe place with management issues. Enjoy if you want (my true rating would be a 3.7).

Room Tip: Rooms closer to the beach are quieter and more convenient to the beach and pool.
