This was our first trip to Ko Samui and after reading reviews from several travellers we made a choice to try this place. It is, es explained by few of our fellow travellers, at the very end of the Fishermen's Village in Bophut. In fact it is after the lots of restaurants and bar, at the point that it almost seem that you are going to a residential area.
The name "The Hut" is completely justified as it is a hut in simple words - open with no doors or anything of the sorts, just under a roof. We were lucky that there was a table available so we didn't have to wait to sit.
I must admit that I was a bit uncertain at first and that perhaps we made a mistake in going to this place. Now I am almost embarrassed to admit we had a bit of hesitation, because we can guarantee you that the quality of the food, the flavours, the size of the meals are unbelievable. We had green curry with tiger prawns, papaya salad (stunning) and stir-fired crab in curry powder. Also rice and two drinks each with my wife. I can safely say that it is a place that must be visited if you come around this part of the world.
And the prices are so cheap that it is hard to believe it. We left a hefty tip, because they just deserve it; from the warm friendly service, to the quality and the genuineness of the food. Just awesome!
