First off looking at the price guide €20-164 (trip advisor sort this out) maybe this is the cost of buying the place. 2-10 from what we had.
This was the first place we ate in bophut (fishermans village) and went out of our way to find it. You could walk by it with out seeing it.
We had white snapper and king prawn ( in a sauce I cant remember the name of and probably coud not pronounce) but none the less was amazing. Buttery and slightly spicy. You could tell this was a family business from the detail in the food and we woke the afternoon slumber with our arrival and you could see the kitchen in the back went from 0 to 10 in no time. The snapper was fresh and well accompanied with sauces and salads. And as my girlfriend says it was nice to go some where that they don't smother the fish, they just get the flavour balancing act just right. It has become a Pitt stop of ours when we our on our moped travels around this amazing island. And the owner warms a little more to you each time, it's nice to earn it sometimes than a fake welcome on arrival. (don't get me wrong he is a really nice guy but nicer each time) we have been 3 times, also if you go fishing they will cook your catch.

To sum I this place up. We are on a sunny island. It's much nicer to eat in a hut than in a restaurant. Keeping it real :)
With out sacrificing the amazing food this place has to offer. Great food and that what it's all about folks.

We came here based on the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. When we first arrived I was a bit nervous as the surroundings were not great. However, when the food arrived I was pleasantly surprised! Although the cafe didn't look like much, the food was the best Thai food we have had on our 2 week holiday in Koh Samui (this included meals in some 5 star resorts). The food is better than 3 other (well-reviewed) restaurants we have tried so far in the Bophut Fisherman's village, and is very cheap too! Fantastic value! Would definitely recommend!

Plain and simple best local food on the island. Price is very reasonable and the food is the real deal.. Don't miss it if your staying in Bo Phut

A very small store down the very end of Fisherman's Village past all the shops, stalls and bars, just keep walking down the road til you see the clearly marked sign. Decor is dated, there's signs for "laundry service", tourist brochures, it looks like a cafe that caters for backpackers, and whoever else drops by. It's clearly just one man trying to make a living with his family.

However, the food is very good, better than the decor suggests. The grilled whole fish (we had snapper) was fantastic, at 280 baht. Their stir fried noodles are great too. The drinks are not bad.

Don't expect refinement, but very good Thai food, at cheap prices. I daresay it's much better than alot of the choices along Fishermans Village. Great place, and feel good about really supporting a local.
