Cafe 69 is recommended by our hotel. It has funky deco. Doesn't look kids friendly but they surprised us. We took our 2 young kids there. Vivian the owner gave us a warm welcome. Immediately prepared chicken fried rice for my daughter while we studied the menu. My daughter loves it and finished the whole bowl. Curry pie is a must try! Super tasty. Everything we ordered are good. We travel the world and have very high standard. Cafe 69 surprised us and exceeded our expectation. Recommend to go on Friday. It's walking distance to the walking market which happens every Friday night.

“A Hidden Treasure”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

We were advised to try this restaurant by someone who had eaten there previously. Whilst not easy to see from the street because the front is small we walked past there during the day but was closed. It looked very unappealing from the outside. However, taking the advice we received we made a telephone reservation via the hotel for dinner the next night.
Never judge a book by its cover!!!
When we arrived, the inside of the restaurant was incredible. The decor was funky and fun. We were welcomed with typical Thai friendliness and our group of 6 were shown to the table.
The night just got better. The food was outstanding and the service great. The way the food was served was funky, but again, great. The presentation was incredible and the taste was amazing.
We ordered several dishes to share but we could not finish the food only because the servings were so generous. The prices of the food, notwithstanding the size of the portions was very reasonable.
Next time we are in Bophut, this will be a definite.

Literally the best dinner we have had in the Thailand,
It Surpassed the hype the first time and we just keep coming back. If you haven't been here, you're missing out.
We love the vibe and menu at Cafe 69 so much we go overboard when ordering food and never regret it.
Do yourself a flavour get down here, try to book if you can as its always in high demand.

“Good Thai food in a funky environment”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

Our first recommendation is to book a table as every night we have been past it has been full.

The food was really good, we had soft shell crab with papaya and pad Thai spring rolls for starter. The soft shell crab is a must! We then had green Thai curry with prawns and mango and a red chicken curry with noodles and roti. Again spiced just right as we asked for it to be spicy. Vivienne the owner came out to check everything was to our liking. Cocktails are very good, although limited choice.

To finish we shared the calorie bomb, which is deep fried ice cream with a chocolate sauce and flambé with Thai whiskey.

Over a very good meal and definitely worth a visit.
