My reviews are noramlly very detailed but I'm going to keep this one a bit short and sweet. There are 421 reviews when I wrote this, its got a 4.5 rating. That in itself shows how good this place is. Great value for money, very personable, casual dress code, the chef is the owner and speaks to all his customers, some of the best food I had on the island the duck main was amazing. You won't be let down by going here. Think it cost no more than £20-40 at most. Brilliant.

A meal and a venue that truly deserves its reputation. Located on the main road among a fading array of shops, tired restaurants and bike repair workshops, this bright, funky cafe stands out like a pearl. The word 'cafe' does it an injustice - the meals we had here on two occasions (our only return to an eating place all holiday) were as good (and probably better) than any we had in 3 weeks across Thailand.
Service first - friendly, fast and efficient. As well as the menu there are always specials boards for both starters and main courses, politely read out to you at your table. Specials prices range from 130-250B for starters, and from 250-650B for mains (650 was the red snapper -we didn't choose it but saw 2 delivered and it looked great and was a meal for two). Main menu prices range from around 100B for starters to up to 200B for mains. All fantastic value!
On our first visit we had starters of chicken dumpling (a house special) and salmon fish cake - both superb and large portions. Mains were the specials of duck and chicken - both great too, though the duck probably beat the chicken.
Having learned our lesson on the size of portions, we took 3 starters and 1 main on our return - 4 days later and greeted like long lost friends. Prawn wontons, spring rolls and salmon with a chicken red curry main (extra spicy on request). All really tasty, and well presented.
Chef Vivien is always on hand to chat and discuss his menu and the staff are very attentive.
All in all, this is a 'must visit' for anyone staying in Bophut. If it had a beachfront location there would be queues outside every night. Enjoy!

Vivienne took such great care of us- taking the extra time to discuss our choices and to make recommendations. We came a bit early to dinner and I'm glad we did. The cafe filled up quickly. A fun atmosphere with friendly service. Highly recommend going if you are in the Bophut area. We came from as far as Maenam and are glad we did.

The papaya salad was delicious however other dishes we had - fried chicken and curry dumplings were just average. Overall this pace is ridiculously over priced and we left disappointed.

I recently tried this restaurant due to it's number 1 rating on Trip Advisor. I'm really surprised at all the great reviews as the food was very ordinary. There are plenty of better options to choose.
