This is my second attemt to post a review so I will just list my comments simply.
1) Whilst I was staying there was hardly anybody here so I was surprised at a lot of reiews.
2) Room ok but bathrooms a bit of a disaster.
3) Breakfast very poor.
4) Staff had lack of English and we never got what we ordered for breakfast.
5) One meal which was expensive and poor quality, luckily many good restaurants nearby

My husband and I recently spent 9 nights at Hansar on our honeymoon. We had the most amazing time at Hansar and can't rate it highly enough. Fantastic service by all staff - they quickly learned our names and greeted us warmly at every opportunity.
Room was lovely, a Seaview Room with wonderful views even though we had to change rooms due to power outages following the storms. Great gym, free internet, lovely grounds. Had very bad weather whilst we were in Koh Samui but the resort made up for it. Amazing shower and lovely toiletries. Bed was superb, so comfortable.
We ate at the H Bistro every morning and night except for one and had the most delicious food! Stephan and his team are fabulous chefs and we tried so many of the meals on the menu and have no complaints at all. The food was so amazing - we had lobster, prawn salad, massaman beef curry, foie gras, desserts - all scrumptious. Breakfast was excellent, we loved the omelettes, banana pancakes, and other Thai dishes. Service was impeccable, the staff helped us with everything we needed and were so friendly. We loved talking to all the staff and even though some had limited English it was fun communicating!! Loved the cocktails and happy hour.
We would love to stay at the resort again if we come back to Koh Samui!
Thanks to you all for a wonderful holiday.

We stayed in Hansar Samui for five days. We were picked up from the airport very quickly and was brought to our room within minutes after checked in. The hotel, the staff and the room were simply fantastic.

The breakfast we had everyday was healthy and delicious. The room was equipped with a 42inch LCD TV, standing rainshower bath accompanied with fragrant lemon grass shower amenities. Hansar Samui is located in a perfect spot in Bophut and every room comes with a seaview and walking distance to the Fisherman Village.

Due to the monsoon season, we stayed mostly in the hotel and around the hotel vicinity. The room was so cosy, clean and comfortable that we were so well rested. The staff of the hotel and the manager Mr Supit have made our experience with Hansar Samui an unforgettable one. We will definitely stay in Hansar Samui on our next visit to Samui Island. Thank you to all the wonderful staff in Hansar Samui for their warm smile and kind hospitality.

My husband and I wish that we could've stayed longer here rather than going to Phuket. The hansar with all its modcons actually exude a lot of charm and is very cosy. Right from the time we were picked up from the airport with our flower garland to our "refreshing" towel, to the fresh coconut juice whilst waiting to check in,then showing us our amazing room...WOW!!!! So spacious, with it's own free standing bath tub, separate toilet, vichy style shower, spacious comfy balcony, huge plasma tv,and the 4 poster bed with it's fluffy mattress and pillows...so romantic!
The staff are the friendliest we have ever met in thailand and they go out of their way to remember your name and greet you everyday, and go out of their way to making our stay so comfortable. The hansar is located in fisherman's Village@ Bophut bay, within walking distance from all the shops and restaurants, and the amazing street markets. You can hire a moped for about AU$18 per day, with gasoline refills about AU$1.20 a bottle and cruise around the island like Chaweng beach.
The free internet is also a bonus with the library and its informative books on Thailand. The breakfast service is not like the other buffet style as you have made to order eggs and bacon rather than seeing a whole greasy pile like in other hotels. It is worth booking directly with the hotels for better deals including a pick up and transfer to and from the airport.
Despite the fact that it rained half the time we were there, our stay@ Hansar remain a memorable one. The infinity pool with it's built in jacuzzi is amazing. The service is wonderful in all aspects, and the spa experience is definitely worth it.
Unfortunately, we have just missed out on the legendary"Moonlight" parties which was according to our friends a definite must do in koh samui.
This 5 * hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed at and we highly recommend this to honeymooners or a couple looking to 'reconnect" with each other after all the stresses of modern life. We will definitely come back here, as this 5* rating lives up to the name.
