Hansar Samui Resort

Booked the Hansar Samui via Agoda for 6 nights and we absolutely love it!

The views from the 1st floor Seaview XL are amazing over the infinity pool & ocean. The water is serene & is flat as glass with mountains & islands on the horizon.

Our room is out of this world. The biggest king size, four poster bed we've ever slept in, soft & very comfortable.

There is a double size black granite bath in the middle of the room. The shower is massive not unlike standing under a warm shower of rain. Double sinks in the bathroom cap off the open plan layout.

55" wall mounted plasma at the end or our bed with over 40 free channels from around the world. Massive balcony with rocker chairs or full balcony length chaise lounge to relax & read or watch the world drift by.

The Hansar website accurately reflects the resort, stylish, sophisticated without being ostentatious. The staff all speak great English & other languages too, they provide prompt & friendly service with a smile.

The buffet breakfast or a la carte is included very tasty & healthy. We can't wait to try dinner in H Bistro or service right on the private beach.

We will definitely come back again for total indulgence & relaxation.

Room Tip: Pay the extra & choose a Seaview XL room & you won't be disappointed.

Stayed for 4d/3n in this hotel. Very nice room layout with magnificent seaview. Great location near Fishermans Village whee you can find good food, foot massage at reasonable price.
Service level is average, most of the staffs don't borther to greet us. This is not a norm for 5 stars hotels that we stayed before in Thailand.
Breakfast is also not as good as commented on the web.
The hotel management needs to really improve on the service level. Simple greetings to the guests can really make a lot of difference. We stayed in one of the hotel in Thailand before and even the gardeners greet us everytime we passed by. That really impressed us.

I organised a dinner at Hansar, the “Under the stars” dining experience. I thought it would be really romantic for my husband and I.
It was organised via email through Wittawat, he was very helpful.

We arrived at 6pm (dinner was at 7pm) to have a drink at the bar and enjoy the sunset. While you don’t get to see the actual sun set but the atmosphere is really lovely. We had arrived a little too early for happy hour. But once happy our started the bartender let us know and we enjoyed 2 for 1 drinks and roasted cashews! (actually roasted!)

Once we had finished our drinks the lovely (and friendly!) bartender took us to our table on the beach where we met our waitress for the night.

We enjoyed a 5 course dinner with “fancy” things like Foie Gras and poached Alaskan Crab!
The service was amazing they explained what was on our plate and in what order we should eat it as well as always making sure our glasses were full and we were happy.

The lights went out and we were left in just candle light with a little bit of light from the above restaurant. The staff were very apologetic and came to tell us they would try to fix it asap. We honestly didn't mind, I think it made it more romantic!

As we were there for a special occasion they treated us to a “lucky Lantern” as well as an extra special dessert!

Based on the amazing food and incredible service, we will definitely be staying at Hansar next time we are in Koh Samui!

Thank you for making our night incredible and amazing and all the wonderful happy words in the world! You truly made our short time in Koh Samui amazing!

One of the best hotels I've stayed in Thailand. Service was good, and the resort wasn't overly crowded even though it was full house. Great food - which is surprising for a resort. And they had happy hour (one for one) 3 times a day at the pool bar. The bed and pillows were so comfortably soft - I had really good sleep in my stay there. The spa was average, but had good ambience.
The resort is also walking distance from Fisherman's Village - which offers some dining alternatives if you get sick of eating the same food in the resort. Friday nights are a great time to visit the village as they have a night market then.

I have stayed now twice at the Samui and I absolutely love it! Sam at the front desk is a gem to work with, and remembered me even after a year had passed since I had been there. The other front desk manager (from Europe) was incredibly helpful and kind. They arrange everything you need. The accomodations are incredible, with an amazing rain shower in all the rooms. It is worth it to take a higher room and one of the larger rooms with the tub. The design is gorgeous. And equally amazing (I can't say best of all, because it is hard to choose what the best feature is), you are steps away from the beach and from fisherman's market, a wonderful place to stroll at night with great restaurants and shops. I highly recommend the Hansar Samui.

Room Tip: The base level rooms have 2 sizes, so I think you can request a larger one. However, my recommendati...

One of the best stay i had in Thailand.
My room has an excellent view with a mediterreanean style balcony. Comes with day bed and a comfortable rocking chair. This looks out to the infinity pool and 180 degree view of the ocean. Beds are extra soft with great pillows.
The infinity pool is a soft water pool with ample seating/ deck lounge chais around it. Pool bar has happy hour 3-4 times a day for 1 for 1.
Great food at H bistro, particularly impressed by their pork ribs with garlic and pepper (snack menu).
The hotel is 2 mins walk to fisherman's village, a friday night excursion.
Will definitely be back...

Room Tip: Get the XL seaview with the standalone bath tub, i find the seaview standard a bit small.

This resort is definitely built more like a hotel with 3 stories and a long hallway that all rooms are off of...but it is beautifully done. The rooms are very clean, well designed and modern and the views from the 2nd and 3rd floors are great. DEFINITELY request a high room (2nd or 3rd) as the 1st floor rooms ofter little to no privacy from people in the pool, at the outdoor bar, etc.

The breakfast was fantastic with lots of options and eggs on demand, smoked salmon, yogurts, fruits, coffee, pastries, etc. They even offered gluten free rice bread (that was darn good) for my wife who is gluten free.

The hotel is located just a couple minutes away from the Fisherman's Village where there are lots of restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed Shades Restaurant and also went to the place next door (Coconut?) that was a bar with big bean bags on the beach and individual tables and had Shades bring our food to us there (which the bar is okay with). We enjoyed our dinner while watching the waves crash and drinking beers.

FRIDAY NIGHTS in Fishermans village are great apparently...we left the day before. They close down the whole area and lots of booths and people come to sell crafts, food, etc.

The pool is also very nice and refreshing.

Definitely would go back.

AFter this we went to Intercontinental (brand new remodeled in 2012) which was a true resort (3 pools, multiple restaurants, etc.) where it was super quiet and relaxing. A good mix...

Room Tip: 2nd or 3rd floor only. 1st floor is NOT private at all.
