“This place renewed our faith in tasty authentic Thai cuisine!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2011

After a disappointing visit to the nearby Krua bophut, we were apprehensive about finding authentic spicy thai food in the tourist area of Fishermans village bophut. We opted for staple favourites of prawn pad Thai, chicken pad Krapow and green curry.. Samui spice delivered on all three! Nice and spicy with great taste- and fantastic presentation as well.... Not to mention the competitive price too...! Most of the other tables seemed to be going for the seafood set menu which looked pretty impressive too. A few local thai diners here too which is always a good sign. We will definitely return before we leave bophut!

“Nice food with quite a price tag”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2011

We went to Samui Spice just by random, no research done prior. What attracted us was their special lunch menu price but when we sat down, we were not offered the details of those special menu and were too tired to bother and ended up order a couple of dishes.

As a Thai, I consider the food there is quite expensive. Thai salads we ordered where around $8-9 per dish, not expensive for western standard for what you get. The food tasted good and there were plenty of it. The setting is quite nice. The service is good as well. If you are not after 'reasonable' price Thai food as per Thai standard, I am happy to recommend this place.

“Really enjoyable”

Me and the girlfriend dined here on our first night into fishermans village and had a lovely meal (which was pretty cheap in comparison) accompanied with excellent service.

“Food ok, great seaviews at sundown”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2011

My wife, daughter and I ate here tonight. We had a great table overlooking the sea. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. Spring rolls par for the course, but the Chicken Satay starter was fresh and a big portion. Prawns with broccoli in oyster sauce was upto worldwide Chinese standard...not very Thai.
Restaurant had the almost obligatory scrawny begging cat.
We paid 52 Euro for three including beer and wine. Wouldn't go back.

“Great food and service.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2011

We stayed in Bo Phut for 11 nights and had three meals in Samui Spice. This says a lot as there are quite a few restaurants to choose from in Bo Phut.

The manager realised I was a seafood addict and recommended some truly amazing dishes. The grilled seabass was divine.

We also had lunch there for 100 bhat each and that was not only cheap but also really tasty.

We loved this place and the manager was really friendly and we definitely recommend this place.
