We have eaten at Krua a number of times in 2011 and on our honeymoon in 2012 and have always enjoyed it.

The restaurant itself is beautiful and nothing like any of the other restaurants in Fishermans Village. If you get a table close to the beach it is great however the hawkers walking along the beach may approach you.

Having not read any reveiws about this restaurant on trip advisor we found this little gem whilst looking for somewhere to eat on a drizzly night in fishermans village.

The building is very impressive from the outside and landscaping around venue is of high standard.

We entered and were immediately met by a friendly staff member who asked us were we would like to sit. All of the sea view tables had been taken so we opted for a window seat near the road side. The mix of fresh breeze coming through the open window and the air con was lovely.

We opted for two appetisers which were the spring rolls and mixed appetiser. Both came within 10 mins and portion size was huge! Both were steaming and clearly freshly cooked. They were delicious and finished off quickly!

The mains arrived 2 mins after they had collected the appetiser plates which was abit to quick for me. A 10 minute gap between courses would have been more favourable.

We were given a massive bowl of steaming rice which could clearly feed 4 people. This was a nice touch as most other restaurants visited, portion size was small and you had to ask for more then one. We then received our mains which was beef in black pepper and chicken pagnang curry. The beef was tasty but the pagnang curry blew my head off! It was hot but not unbearable so. The flavours were immense and I loved it!

Staff are friendly and very quick but abit plastic and need to loosen up slightly. The price is a little more then other places we had visited but well worth it. Had pagnang curry twice more after the visit in other establishments and neither came close to the taste explosion I experienced in krua.

This is a really romantic restaurant near coco tams at the end of the bhoput strip on the coastal side. It's a beautiful setting and fantastic service. We ate here the first and second night of our stay as my husband loved the duck curry so much! The wine was excellent and so was the chicken sate. It's not cheap but a well cooked meal that has a kick if you want it! A great touch is the curry being kept hot by candles under the bowls if you are someone who likes to keep their dishes steaming! Excellent find.

After cocktails at coco tams we decided to have dinner next door at Krua's, the location is at the start of fisherman's village overlooking the sea so ideal.
We had the special menu with a selection of appetizers, fresh vegetable salad, thai chicken soup with coconut milk and herbs, roasted duck curry, stir fried chicken with cashew nuts and finished off with Banana fritter. The menu cost 690 baht per person and was worth every penny, especially the duck curry which was wonderful. this is not the cheapest restaurant on the island but it is very good and definitely worth having dinner here if you're in the area.

Very romantic. We had as entrees- crab and mussels, very good. As mains- roasted duck curry and jumbo prawns in tamarind sauce, both very good.
