This restaurant had an extensive Thai menu. The food was good and was well priced. The service was ok. There was very little choice for anyone who disliked, or could not eat spicy food, so don't go there if a member of you party falls into this category. A member of our party was allergic to chilli and peppers and had to eat elsewhere.

Try the set menu A or B .only 700 baht before the obligatory 10% service and7% tax that you get charged nearly everywhere.food tasted fresh and not too spicy.tom yum soup aside, which will make your chops tingle!
Good service and decent wine list.
Seats outside overlook the beach.beware of mossies like all your dark time outside in Samui, spray up well.
On balance though we prefer the Happy Elephant which is just a few minutes away.you must have their crumbed prawns.

We dined at Krua Bophut twice in January 2012, and were impressed then.

The convenient free parking opposite the restaurant is no more, however, there is parking to the west and the restaurant refunds the cost.

The restaurant is much busier know, and deservedly so. The beach location in the village is very good and the overall ambiance is great. The menu is extensive and the food is good. The prices have gone up markedly since last year, and there is no way that the house wine should be B300 a glass.

Unfortunately, the staff lost our order for the main course and we waited for quiet sometime while later arrivals at other tables were being looked after. When the food eventually came, it was not as ordered and was sent back. After about an hour we finally got the mains. During the whole time, we were pretty well ignored.

After we had finished, management brought over a blue cocktail by way of an apology. Definitely not what was wanted.

This restaurant looks very nice on the surface, and maybe it would be on a different night, but I went there for a Thai meal with my husband during the very busy Friday night market, so maybe the poor review is reflected by this. We requested a table in the outside area along the edge of the sand as we thought it would be cooler, but it was full, so we reserved a table there 30 minutes later and returned, only to be kept waiting another 20 minutes! It was still incredibly hot whilst eating (the hottest I have been in a restaurant during the whole 2 weeks holiday). The area had a lot of trees in between the tables and the sand and we were both bitten by mossies even though we had put spray on. Whilst we waited another 30 minutes for our simple drinks, we watched the staff flapping about trying to organise people to their tables and lots of things went wrong and people were complaining. We received our drinks after having to remind the waitress that we were still waiting. I had sweet and sour fish with rice which I didn't rate much (lots of little bones), although it had been lovely when I ate it in a different restaurant in Koh Tao. It was interesting to view people on the beach buying the big lanterns, lighting them and letting them go up in the sky.
