Yaniv the owner is such a wonderful & helpful person plus all his staff. We stayed there in March 2013 when hubby had a heart-attack & staff couldn't have been more helpful. So decided to go back in June & yes excellent service & food plus wonderful staff. Can't wait to go back again. Feels like our family. Our room was right on the beach. All the staff know what they have to do & everything is so clean & organised. Such a relaxing 9 nights holiday. Yaniv organised car-hire which was very cheap but decent car.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 39 which has morning sun but shaded in the afternoon with no noise from the road. Very handy for banks, 711 etc. in short walking distance. We enjoyed just watching the boats come in & out plus the planes. Ensuite very good with power shower plus linen is changed everyday.

We stayed here for 2 nights only (wish it was more) as a base to go to the full moon party. It's perfect for this as a boat picks you up right outside or a speed boat is less than a 5 minute walk away.

The hotels location is fantastic. It has little bamboo huts for sunbathing and is right on the beach. The staff made the stay! The hotel boss has a keen eye for perfection and you will not see anything out of place. He is also very friendly, as are all the staff. Unfortunately I cut my foot badly on a rock out at sea but try cleaned it for me and asked each day how it was.

The hotel is very clean, we stayed in the cheapest room which is small but fine for what we wanted. If I were to go bak to Samui I would like to stay here longer and would recommend it to anyone. Although I travelled here with a friend it would be great for couples too.

You must have a coconut from here - nicest I had throughout my trip.

Bo phut - as an area is very quiet and there isn't much to do. It's worth a walk (20mins from Hotel) to big bhudda. If you are staying here more than a few days you would need to get taxis to elsewhere on the island.

My partner and I recently spent 4 nights at Samui Pier in a beach front room and the place definitely grew on us. We were not sure we made the right choice when we pulled up to the hotel facing the busy street, but once you are past the office the view of the ocean and distant islands is beautiful. The room is very simple and clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. We never figured out how to get hot water in the shower, but we got used to the Luke warm shower. I suggest you bring a scented candle for the room because the smell of the water from the bathroom is not the best. The absolute bonus is that the room is literally 10 steps from the sand and ocean. Keep your door cracked to get some sea air and sleep to the wonderful sounds of the waves. The staff is another great bonus of this hotel. They were very pleasant and accommodating during our stay. We enjoyed the delicious meals at the restaurant and thought that it was well worth the price. We also enjoyed the happy hour from 4-7pm each day. The grounds have a pool, cabanas, swings and hammocks to relax and sip while watching the beautiful sunset. We also enjoyed a 1 hour stand up paddle boat lesson from Melinda, who was a wonderful instructor. very patient and great yoga stretching before and after our lesson. Bottom line is this place is a gem for the low price. We would go back for sure!

Room Tip: Beach Front Room facing the sun set. Room #19

When we first checked into the hotel, the reception was simple but neat. As we were shown the way to our room, the setup - restaurant, pool, beach side were amazing. The hotel was not very big but it was really organized and well managed.

We booked a standard garden view room and it was very clean. The room had a queen bed, clean ensuite toilet, LCD TV with satellite channels, kettle with complimentary coffee, tea and drinking water as well as a safe deposit box.

Overall, we didn't have much time to enjoy the hotel as we arrived around 5.30pm and had to check out 6am the next morning to catch our ferry to Koh Tao. However, the hotel is very nice and it would have been great if we had the time to enjoy. So we can say thumbs up for Samui Pier Resort :)

I stayed here in June 2013. My friend and I were seeking a quiet location on a nice beach for a reasonable price and found this gem.

Upsides:
The grounds are excellent for a lazy day: little huts with comfy cushions are a great place to spend the afternoon drinking in the beauty of the ocean from the cool comfort of shade; padded hammocks sway in the breeze underneath sky-high palms. Rocking chairs, swings and plenty of beach loungers face a small and meticulously clean private white sand beach. Our bungalow was literally two steps from the sand; right outside in the garden a lovely Hungarian named Melinda offers private and group yoga classes, SUP lessons and for the truly adventurous, yoga on a SUP (highly recommend!). The pool is rather small but plenty refreshing for a quick dip. Though the beach is situated between two piers and sometimes smells faintly of gasoline from embarking ships, the water is actually cleaner and safer than many other beaches in Koh Samui (no corals/rocks/sea urchins to be wary of!). The rooms are comfortable and clean with crisp white sheets and minimalist decor. The AC units are just enough to keep the room cool, and the sliding doors and windows are dark glass to keep out the sun's heat. Relaxing music plays from 9 am - 9 pm and adds to the already chilled-out vibe of this place (also blocks out the traffic noise, which is only noticeable if you train your ear to listen).

Opportunities:
Like many other places in Koh Samui, the plumbing is sub-par and the bathroom sometimes smelled; we fixed this by burning incense, which actually added to the charm :) This isn't the hotel's fault, and was tolerable since we hardly spent any time in the room. The restaurant, although quite tasty, is a bit overpriced, but the friendly and always-smiling owner Shimon will give great recommendations for dining and activities. It's not worth it to take a cab anywhere unless you plan on drinking. We rented a scooter for 200 baht/day instead. Though everything was in good condition, this isn't a place for luxury seekers. Wifi is spotty at times; it's strongest in the restaurant, but I wouldn't recommend drinking there unless you go for happy hour only (all drinks 99 baht). I would have loved for there to be a foot bath at all the beach entrances as I've seen in many other places, but the only station to rinse off the sand is next to the pool on the opposite side of the garden from our bungalow. Another slight downside is the low lighting in the bathroom; brighter overhead lamps or vanity lighting would have made makeup application and sunburn inspection easier :)

Overall we enjoyed ourselves immensely and for a fraction of what we'd have paid at hotel-style resorts. Bring an air freshener and a small lighted mirror and you'll be all set.

Room Tip: It's a very small resort so no rooms are more than a few steps from the sand.19-22 are closest to the beach.
