My wife and I spent two nights here. It was a pretty good hotel, with nice cuisine, a private beach and a beachside swimming pool. The rooms could have been a bit bigger, but hey no complaints. It is really well maintained

We stayed at the Ibis for 2 nights in Jan 2013. Our experience at the hotel was not good. We checked in and our room wasn:t ready as we were there an hour before check in time, that was fine but then when they told us to come back and we did, the rep asked my husband if we had a checked in and he said yes but they said we hadn:t as they had lost our paperwork we had filled out an hour ago including visa info and passport info, general info, took a deposit. Then when the rep asked me in agressive tone if we had checked in, I said well no because we didn:t have the key and then she raised her voice and to my husband and said why did you say you checked in already when you havent! He asked her by check in do you mean we filled out all the paper work you took our visa, gave us beach towels and took our passport info all we need is the ｋｅｙ. She then said yes that is what I mean by check in take your passport and visa but they had lost it. She was the same rep that checked us in, they had a few people checking checked us in, they had a few people checking out when we checked in but they didn:t excuse her rude tone From the minute we got there staff was not polite like rest of thailand. Then we wanted to stay another night just because we didnt want the hassle of changing hotels and they said we had to go online and book it ourselves that they could not extend our stay, it got even worse as everytime we would phone reception and the staff could not speak good english they would just hang up. We have stayed at other IBIS locations and many other hotels in Thailand and no complaints except for here． The staff need a major lesson in customer service. The hotel itself was nice and clean though. Location was good for fisherman village.

Denese, Rudy, Celeste and Gerard from South Africa had occasion to stay at IBIS, Samui Bophut from 20th December 2012 to 2nd January 2013. From the moment we walked in (after having been fetched from the airport ), we were made to feel extremely welcome. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff continued throughout our stay. This was our first visit to the beautiful island of Samui so to the IBIS staff, the staff in the Hotel Restaurant, the people of Samui, the ladies who give fantastic massages and foot scrubs near the pool and the most friendly lady on the beach who made our corn on the cob and spring rolls we say thank you as you all made our stay on the island a memorable one. We had sea view rooms and we would highly recommend this. It was our first visit but It definitely will not be our last visit to the island.

The hotel is located right on Bophut beach which is a great thing as you don't have to rent a car/taxi to visit the beach. The room was very thoughtfully designed with lots of storage space even though it was a small room. Our room was located at the end of the hotel and adjacent to the swimming pool and the restaurant so it was very convenient for us. The beach was right next to the swimming pool. The hotel was very child friendly and that made a great deal of difference to us.
On the negative side, the rooms are really small and their concept of room service is very strange. You can order the food from your room but they don't deliver it to your room. You have to go to the restaurant to pick it up yourselves.

This is situated on Bo Phut beach approximately 20 minute walk from the fishermans village. The hotel is built on a quiet and clean stretch of beach. The rooms are not big enough to be lounging around in but are plenty big enough to use as your base camp for sight-seeing, exploring etc. The pool area and bar is a nice area to relax in. The staff are friendly and overall it was great value for money given that you are situated in a really nice location.
