We went there for dinner on September 30th. We were not staying at the Six Senses resort. Because it was a Monday evening there was no signage on how to get to the restaurant. The front desk staff just said "go to the left". They didn't inform us a buggy or ride down the hill would be required to get to the restaurant. We walked quite a ways to get there. Once we got to the restaurant there was no host or greeter to meet us. We actually had to call out and get help from one of the staff to be seated. Monday is obviously a slow night as there were only a couple of other tables full during the time of our reservation.
Despite this we were excited to eat the molecular gastronomy menu we had heard so much about from this website and from The Lonely Planet guidebook. I would say that although both of our 3 course meals looked fantastic on the plate neither was as good or as memorable as it should have been for the $200+ USD price tag. We both agreed that although it was a nice place to see we would not go back. Our $30 4 course meal on the beach at a local restaurant provided us with a much better view, more flavor and a local atmosphere.

This is a restaurant with an amazing view - truly. For that alone, you should go. Suggest to go around 1730 to enjoy sunset there. However, as a fine dining experience, I would give it an average rating. (hence above). The menus evidence a swift turnover of chefs with each not creating menus that are coherent - we had the Experience menu which promised molecular dining. It wasn't really, which was a shame and if you go, and I hope you do, I suggest you go a la carte which is a far better option and gives the current chef the ability to cook his own food rather than the menus which his predecessors have created. The lighting, a frequent comment from other reviews, also needs upgrading (though it is tricky to keep the intimacy of outside dining whilst enabling a diner to see the well presented (which it undoubtedly is) food) - also a further challenge is for thai native thai waiters to explain menus and dishes which contain challenging words (this is not meant in a patronising way at all, just that it was often difficult to understand the painstakingly learnt explanations) - as I say, I would go but do go a la carte, or possibly the 5 course option which contains more seasonal dishes created by the current chef

Go there! The most romantic setting in the world and absolute fine dining. It is not a la carte; they have a three course menu but you can choose anything you want from their extensive menu. It is not cheap though; 5000 baht ++ for two not including any drinks. But worth it.

What an amazing dining experience. The creativity that went into the menu is top of the class. I got the"Experience" menu which was 10 courses and I splurged on the wine pairing. The only thing I can say negative was that the Thai servers English was impossible to understand and an adequate explanation of the food was/is a big part of the expereince. This was onekf the more expensive meals I've ever had but was worth every baht. Gorgeous view as well. Book before the sun sets to not miss the view

It was very expensive but what a treat and experience!! Do it at least once! We had a beautiful 5 course meal, the setting is very tranquil. We sat on a deck overlooking the whole thailand ocean. You can also ask for your own private deck if you have a big table
