If you love "pastelillos" (12'' deep fried shells) this is your place. It will be a long drive if you come from San Juan, its best if you are staying in the southern part of the Island to give it a try, otherwise it will be like a 2 hour drive.
Its located in Guayama, and from it you can see the Caribbean Sea. It has several places where you can sit and enjoy the view. It's an outdoor business, there is no AC. It's very popular, and its often full of customers, you can easily wait for 15 to 25 minutes. But its worth the wait. I asked for an alcapurria for a friend and a 12'' pastelillo of cheese and ground beef for me. There are 25 types of pastelillos including seafood, crocodile, conch meat, octopus, corned beef, and others. They have mofongos, meat, soups and salads. The prices of the pastelillos go from $3.50 to $5.95. They are great. I've haven't visited in a while due to the distance, but it's definitely a great place to go if you are in the area.
If you don't want to wait, you can buy 1/2 dozen or a dozen box of frozen pastelillos for a cheap price and just deep fry them at home.
If you want further information on the menu and other entrees other than the Pastelillos you can visit the website or open the pdf document included here...
