Management Response
Jul 2, 2018
Many thanks for providing your feedback following your stay at Gladices Barn. We do apologise that you encountered these issues during your stay.
Unfortunately during your holiday a member of the party was locked inside the bedroom and the locksmith found no fault with the lock itself after freeing her. The small area of surface mould was wiped away on inspection and came from recent guests not using the extractor fan. The owner was unaware of any ongoing issue with gas leaks and responded and fixed the minor leak with the help of a Calor engineer within the hour. The engineer stated that there was no possible health or safety risk. The local public right of way is little used due to location and does not pass through the garden.
The owner and ourselves investigated the issues raised and we apologise you were not satisfied with the outcome.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your comments, which are always valued as they enable us to improve our levels of service and the quality of our accommodation. We also hope that this experience does not deter you from booking with us again, where we are sure that we will meet if not exceed your expectations.
Kind regards,
Blue Chip Holidays.

Gladices barn offers everything to everyone. It is spacious and yet there is always somewhere you can be on your own if you need. Having all the lovely bedrooms ensuite is just one of the many 'pluses', which makes this a lovely holiday destination. It was great to be able to sit our 12 family members around the dining table to eat together. Having the hot tub was wonderful - the colder the weather, the more we used it! The barn is as it is shown on the website - no airbrushing required! The owner is very helpful and just a phone call away. The younger children loved riding in his tractor to feed the deer. There is a local shop a short walk across the fields, which has a deli and a coffee shop.

“Tasty”
Reviewed December 1, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Had a great long weekend with friends. All bedrooms great. Need to bring your own stereo as docking station not quite man enough. Kitchen great size, need a larger sink but done the job with the dishwasher. The dining room needed to be a large longer table, rather than two different types pushed together. Hot tub great but tricky in the dark when the external lights never worked. Glad I didn't have to clean the lovely floors! Venison was amazing. Owner very helpful. Ok I'm a bit fussy but stay here and you should have a ball, especially with friends like mine. :)

A beautiful barn conversion set in tranquil surroundings. The owner was very responsive to our needs, including bringing the deer down for the children. The hot tub was glorious, even in April! A stunning property that allowed our extended family to be together for a special birthday celebration.

“Really great place to get together as a big group!”

Arrived on Maundy Thursday to be greeted by Michael the owner of the Barn. Charming chap with a great place to rent. We felt right at home straight away and the facilities of the Barn made for a relaxing stay. We had 4 kids with us and they could really get lost in this place and play well together allowing parents and grandparents to enjoy a drink and a catch up. The Barn is snuggled away in a small dip away from a quiet road. Views are great and plenty to do outdoors nearby. Highly recommend.

“Fantastic Property”

14 Friends stayed at Gladices Barn to celebrate a 40th Birthday. The Barn is really impressive sitting in a secluded hollow about 2 miles from the southern coast of the Island. The barn is surrounded by beautiful countryside and has sea views from the terrace, the adjacent field is full of Deer. All 7 bedrooms are equally impressive with on suite bathrooms, downstairs is perfect for entertaining with a huge kitchen, dining room, lounge and chill out / TV room all leading out to the terrace overlooking the hot tub. The owner was really helpful and came back to assist us with a couple of issues which were promptly sorted. If we had to find any fault it would be the access to the hot tub / garden was on the wrong side of the house maybe a set of steps from the terrace would be more convenient.
