We live in Atenas and have eaten in every restaurant in the area. Without a doubt and by a wide margin, La Trocha has the best and most interesting food. Filet La Trocha is corvina (sea bass) in a fabulous shrimp sauce and is my personal favorite - this is what I had last evening. My wife loves the Filet Mignon which is as tender as butter, incredibly flavorful, covered with sautéed onions and quite large. As you may know, the quality of beef in COsta Rica is very unreliable but that is not the case here. At La Trocha, it is consistently wonderful.
