The hotel is in a good spot with lovely views. It is well maintained with several nice pools including one with water slides for the children. The highlight is the wonderful and plentiful food. The hotel is all inclusive with sumptuous breakfasts, luches, dinners and snacks included. There is something for everyone including a good selection of traditional Greek and Cretan fare. The buffet restaurant and taverna are the pick of the 4 restaurants. The beautiful BBQ they set up for our family was also a highlight. The staff is lovely, friendly and helpful but be aware that the entertainment and kids club is geared towards the mostly German and Russian clientele. They did however do their best to accomodate the few English speakers. We had a great time.

We stayed at the Grecotel Club Marine Palace for a week and we enjoyed it. It was our first holiday of this sort and we knew what we were in for. We expected many loud families and fights for the best spot on the beach - but nothing of this turned out to be right. We had a delightful week from A to Z.

The hotel management upgraded us to a nice suite and we enjoyed our own private garden and the own pool for the suites. The suites part of the hotel is a little bit south of the main building, you need to cross a little street (don't worry, there's no traffic at all).

there are six pools all over the hotel and non of them are stuffed with people, it spreads out quite easily. The children stay to the one pool that is shallow and there for them and to the beach. There are two beaches, one sandy one rocky. The sandy beach is small but very nice, the waves are not too big and it's nice and easy to go for a swim. You can use all of the water sports equipment for free and that's really cool.

It's an all-inclusive resort so all the food is free of charge. As everywhere there are rush hours, but once you know when they are it's easy to get around them. Food is of good quality and we enjoyed the range and variety of it. There is one main restaurant and three other special restaurants. To have dinner in the main restaurant you just turn up and you'll get a seat immediately. For the three other restaurants you need to put your name down to reserve a table for the night. There's an Asian restaurant (good enough), a Greek speciality restaurant (good) and a Deluxe Restaurant (very good, an amazing location).

We rented a car (EUR50 for one day) and explored the surroundings for a day. Don't miss Rethymno, a very charming city about 30 minutes away. The town Panormo is very romantic, why not have dinner there for a change? If you want to go for a hike, check out the nearby hill (on the otherside of the village, past the church and the graveyard) and you get great views up and down the coast.

We stayed the last week of August 2009. We booked the room with the ''all-inclusive'' price. This was new for us but it is very convinient, especially if you have children.
The first impression was fantastic. The Lobby-reception is really nice with amazing view.

Our room was the best view room ever have. The view from our balcony was superb..fantastic. The sea was few metres away and the night sleep was so nice hearing the plash of waves. Just FANTASTIC.

The area arount the hotel was great. It was like small villages very picturesque.
Lots of pools, lots of restaurant, lots of food..With the ''all-inclusive'' you are never hungry. On the contrary..you are always full!!. The kids loved this thing. They went to take an ice-cream or a granite whenever they want without asking from us money to pay.
The breakfast and general the food was fantastic. Quantity and variety.
The stuff was very nice and polite. The girls at the breakfast were really nice.
There were also foreing waiters like spanish.

At the time we went there were a lots of German groups (from TUI), very few Greek families, and we thouth we were in a foreign country...there were shows and events like theatre only for the groups, so if you didn't know german you just look but it was nice and we found it very entertaining.

We went to other places in Crete in contrary with the other guest of the hotel who stayed all day long in the hotel and pools. But we are Greeks and we are not used to this kind of making vacations.
So we saw a lot of beautiful places (not all) in Crete, even though the days (7) were not enough for all of the island. Panormos the place near hotel (5 minutes walk) is a very picturesque village and worth it to have a walk or lunch - dinner at the tavernas there

Finally I have the best memories from our vacations in Club Marine Hotel and I would like to go back again and enjoy the hotel.

We stayed here with 2 young children, and we all loved it. Wonderful family rooms - very clean, well-equipped, separating doors between child/parents room and newly built. The hotel is built on a gentle hill, sloping down to the sea. Quiet, private beach (sandy) which was great for swimming.

Several restaurants are available to try - each with a different theme. In general, all were excellent - the food is definitely better than other hotels we have tried in Crete (we have stayed 4 times in Crete and this was the best hotel of them all). The main restaurant is a buffet affair with a different type of themed food each night, but they always keep the main dishes available (salad, greek cheese, standard hot dishes etc) which really helps with young children.

The hotel has 7 pools around the resort so you can split the time between the beach and the pools. The outdoor pools are not heated, so the water might be a little cold for some.

There is a kids club organised by TUI (German operator) with lots of activities during the day. They also organise a mini-disco each night for the young children which our kids absolutely loved. Also a large play room for the children (pool, pinball etc). They is also entertainment for the adults each night, although we did not take advantage of this because of our young kids.

With young children, we stayed mainly on the hotel, although you can take a trip to nearby Rethymnon which is worth a trip for adults and kids alike. Overall - definitely to be recommended for families. It is a little bit more expensive than many of the other hotels, but you see the difference in the food, rooms and service (very friendly staff).

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days in May 2007. The property is just amazing - so clean and so elegant. We loved the pools - so many to choose from and walking amoung the buildings with the beautiful landscaping. Felt like we were in a little village. Food was great, especially the local Greek food. Even though we went to the restaurants, we liked the buffet best.
They serve any kind of alcoholic drink you want, even high end. And great cappuchinos.
The beach was fine, but not as beautiful as some other countries we have been to.
The rooms were a little bit old - in need of updating. THe beds were not too comfy. But we barely spent any time in the room anyway.
I really liked all the exercise classes offered outdoors overlooking the ocean.
Also enjoyed the spa!
We felt it was the perfect all inclusive and compare all other hotels by this one now.
