“FUN, FUN, FUN!!!”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Arrived and was checked in immediately and porter took cases to room which was a free upgradeto VIP sea front bungalows, nice touch.Room standard, only negative was no tea/coffee making facilities, apart from that you only sleep there anyway.
Pools great, you can havethis place as quiet or as busy as you wish, caters for everyone young and old, families and couples!!!
As has been said many many times before, the ANIMATION team, led by SIMONE(Sacha baron Cohen in disguise) are GREAT, they will have you in stitches with there antics and carrying on. MAURO, TONY, AARON, the rest of the adult entertainers are just fantastic and do not know how they keep going all day and night! Special mention must also go to EVIE, IRIS, VIOLETTA the mini club girls whom my 6 year old son doted on, and cannot forget FRANCESCO, GEORGIA and SELINA....................what a team, a credit to IBEROSTAR. along with my favourite barmaids VAIA and GEORGIA who always had time for a chat and were always smiling.
This place is just wonderful and the grounds are very well kept, no pictures in brochures do it any justice, you even get Metaxa brandy in the all inclusive package which was a pleasant surprise.
Will definitely return and yes the restaurant is busy at peak times and you have to get up early to reserve a bed with a parasol at main pool but at what big hotels dont you have to do this, embrace it, don't moan about it.
All in all a great 4* AI extensive hotel resort and cant wait to see you all next year ;-)

Room Tip: room 4322 with a sea view and very quiet, easy 2-5 min walk to all you need to get to!!!

Before booking our holiday I e-mailed the hotel to check on suitability for my husband who has Multiple Sclerosis and uses a wheelchair outside of the home. I was told that there were 18 disabled rooms with walk in shower which seemed very good.

On arrival we found our room on the ground floor near reception. The doorway was only just big enough to get the wheelchair through and the bathroom door was just the same. The problem was that we could not get the wheelchair from one side of the room to the balcony. We asked at reception if somebody could move the fridge and unit further down the room, this was done but it did not help as it was still not enough room for the wheelchair to pass. The lady who moved the furniture said that all the rooms were the same size.

The shower seat in the bathroom was so small that my husband fell off it . We then asked for a plastic seat be put in the bathroom and this eventually came and it enabled my husband to shower in safety.

The hotel grounds are lovely but it is on a slope and has a lot of crazy paving which is not easy going for a wheelchair, which meant that my husband did not see most of the grounds as it was too difficult to push him around.

On a good point the food in the hotel was very good and the staff in the restaurant was very helpful in getting the wheelchair up and down the ramp into the restaurant. The only problem was the coffee at breakfast, I found it very strong but my husband liked it, and the fruit juices were all very weak. At lunchtime we had to ask reception to call the restaurant to meet us at the lift as half of the restaurant area was closed and we could not use the ramp on the other side as it did not reach the restaurant only the indoor pool.

We did not use the large pool but opted for the smaller pool above the snack bar. This was much quieter but still near enough to get drinks. The pool had a few steps and handrails to help get in the water and I would like to thank all the people who helped my husband get in and out of the water on the days when his legs were not working properly.

We spent all our holiday by the pool except for one afternoon that we went on the train to Panorma. The hotel is very remote and it would have cost us to much to get a taxi to Rhythymno as a bus would not have suited us.

We did not see any of the shows but understand that some of them were good but we preferred to sit outside the bar in the evenings. This meant that if my husband needed the toilet we could go back to our room as we did not find the accessible toilet that we here told about.

In short we made the best of the holiday but would not return to this hotel because of the problems we encountered. This hotel would suit families and couples alike who just want to stay in one place and enjoy the entertainment and the lovely weather.

Room Tip: unable to help as we had a disabled room

Dear Guest,
First of all we want to thank you for your preference in selecting our IBEROSTAR Creta Panorama hotel for your holidays as well as for taking the time to tell us about your recent stay as this will help us know how to improve our services and offer splendid holiday experiences to all our guests.

Related to our hotel being suitable for less abled guests we would like to point out that, as you kindly say, our hotel provides 18 double garden view rooms adapted to wheelchair users in the main building, situated on the ground floor with roll-in shower and supporting hand rails. The shower seat has standard size.
The adapted rooms have double room size, i.e. 21m2:
- Entrance door width: 73 cm
- Bathroom door width: 70 cm
- Bathroom especially equipped for the needs of wheelchair guests.
- Elevator door width: 80 cm
- Bed height: 45 cm
- Flooring: Marble

All hotel areas are accessible by wheelchair, either over ramps or by elevator.
All restaurants are accessible, of course, and during lunchtime, the Italian restaurant can be reached through the International restaurant in front of which the elevator is located. Also we have one toilet for disabled persons in the public area east of the main building. Clients who are in main pool area, theatre etc. can use either that WC or their rooms’. The floor outdoors is mostly natural stone and we have all the time wheelchair clients who explore the premises without problems.
Steps and handrails are available in the main pool and Faethon pool, in other pools we have handrails.
Further we thank you for highlighting the kindness and availability of our staff always happy to assist in every possible way, in particular when it comes to clients with special needs.
Last but not least, we are very happy to hear that you felt absolutely satisfied with the culinary offer that our kitchen staffs prepares for our guests, at IBEROSTAR we know that the gastronomy is a very important part of our guests’ holiday, this is why we thank you for highlighting this aspect of your stay in your review, we will definitely pass on your compliments to our Chefs.
Finally, we hope you had a nice journey back home and that your stay in Greece was as pleasant as it could possibly be.
Kindest Regards,

The hotel is very clean and surrounding areas are modern. The bar staff get to know you and quite often have your drink made ready before you even have to ask. The only let down is the rooms, they need updating. Our bathroom was not a 4* hotel bathroom. It was dark, the shower poor and the door was falling apart. The usual sunbed problem is here as with other resorts, you do need to get up early to secure one. During our stay we did have a problem which we spoke to the assistant manager about and he handled our query very well. We were pleased with the service and overall had a fantastic trip.

The top quality management, the welcoming reception, the crazy animaters, the professional chefs, the genuinely smiling service, absolutely everything in this place makes sure you will have an unforgettable experience!

Located in northern Crete between Rethymno and Panormos, surrounded by beautiful gardens, it is a paradise of tranquility and relaxation, while at the same time there is non stop action around the pools and the bars! Excellent conference facilities.

Just back last weekend after a great ten night holiday at the Creta Panaroma. Booked this holiday with Thomas Cook and everything seemed fine when we got on the plane at Manchester bang on time. The pilot then announced that there would be a slight 10-15 min delay whilst the in-flight meals were delivered. TWO HOURS later a plane load of very disgruntled passengers took off for Heraklion. To herd us all on the plane and keep us sitting there for 2 hours was a disgrace. T.C. please get your act together.

Arrived in the hotel just after midnight and got a cheery welcome and quick check-in to Room 5051. I had Emailed the hotel a few days before and requested a sea-view. I recieved an answer saying that they would do what they could. The room was perfect with a great sea-view so thank you Creta for the great service.

HOTEL. The Hotel covers a large area with five floors of the main hotel and lots of bungalows in the surrounding area. There are five swimming pools, all kept in tip-top condition. My only complaint was that they were salt water that I did find irritated my eyes quite badly. The grounds of the Hotel are kept very neat and tidy with a good crew of gardeners doing the work.Plenty of pathways to walk around the Hotel and bungalows but very little to do or see outside.

ROOM. A good sized room with plenty of storage space, double bed, fridge, sofa and small flat-screened TV ( which we didn't use all holiday) The bathroom was on the small side but quite adequate for our needs. THe room was cleaned spottlessly every day and the bed linen changed regulary. Cleaned towels were provided daily if required. The ladies cleaning the rooms were very friendly and fully deserved the tip we gave them at the end of our holiday.

FOOD. WE had a late breakfast most days in the pool cafe, not as much selection as the main restaurant but fullfilled our needs. We also had lunch there and found plentifull selection of pastas', burgers, salads, fresh fruit, ice cream etc etc. We had our evening meal in the main restaurant and were lucky enough to be able to get a table outside every evening. The restaurant does get very busy but with approx 1300 guests it is going to be! We found the choice, quality and the whole experience excellent. People have to remember that you are paying for an All-Inclusive buffet and that's exactly what it is.As many other posters have put the Russians do really need some lessons in manners and there were some children running around but at the end of the day you are on holiday so just relax and enjoy the experience.

ANIMATION TEAM. I can only echo what most of the other posters have said on here that they are absolutely superb. A group of hard working multi-talented youngsters from all over Europe that kept everyone, young and old entertained day and night. They are a fabulous asset to the hotel and deserve all the plaudits they get. Thank you. The rest of the Hotel staff were very friendly and pleasant and I think they really enjoy it if you make the effort to speak some of their language.

MOAN The only moan I could have would be the ridiculous time that sun-beds were reseved in the mornings. People must have been getting up in the early hours to put their towels out and in the end if you want a bed you have to join them a silly-o-clock. I would think it is an almost impossible problem for the Hotel to sort out but was the only downside to the holiday. Rant over.

If you have booked or are thinking of going to this Hotel I would definately recommend it you will thoroughly enjoy it. Some people will always find something to moan about but this place definately deserves its Four Star status in our opinion.

Room Tip: Take a pair of swimming goggles as the pool water does irritate the eyes.

Have just returned from a fabulous week at Creta Panorama with my 2 daughters 20 & 23years.This hotel certainly didn't disappoint at all,in fact it lived upto everything we had hoped for plus much more. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely guy on reception & because our room wasn't in the main hotel we were helped with our cases by the one of the hotel porters. Our room was much bigger than I thought it would be,very clean with a fantastic sea view, which was an added bonus because I didn't even ask for one, thought we had got a garden view room. The ladies who came to clean our room were lovely...even when we had to turn them away on a few occasions because we were still in bed after a few late nights!
We stayed all inclusive which was by far the correct choice because the drinks were quite expensive. The food was beautiful, plenty of choice and freshly prepared...those who complain are just far too fussy. However the restaurant does get very busy between the times of 8-8.30pm,also beware of the very rude greedy Russians who just try & jump the queue & pile their plates high with food.
The animation team are BRILLIANT the best I have ever seen, they work extremely hard day and night to keep the guests entertained, their energy & devotion to their job shines though.A special mention to Mauro,Simone,Aaron,Toni Macaroni & Georgia....thank you for making our holiday one to remember! The evening shows were very funny & our personal favourite was the " John Travola" show, with songs from Saturday night fever,Grease & Hairspray...we were singing along to almost every tune...fabulous!
Overall this Hotel was near perfect.Always said I would never return to the same place twice because there is so much out there to see,but think the Creta Panorama may be an exception...can't wait to return!!! Janene Emma & Hannah

Fantastic 8 out of 10 and I'm difficult to please.
From start to finish a Massive complex but still Keeps the personal and special touch that make you feel special.
clean Modern and well kept inside and out everything you could wish for Piece and quiet to the point you Could be the Only one in the hotel or as much dancing and Singing as you can handle. The food is nothing short of Magnificent and plentiful anything you want and as much as you want when you want it.
all inclusive drink yourself silly or just 6 pints of water a day . Your choice ... but the local beer is wonderful as are all the rest of the drinks,
please don't be disappointed when I tell you this is NOT a 4 star hotel its a good 3 star and a bit but the food and drink make it up a bit but what is special are all the staff they get a 10 out of 10 everyone of them from the cleaning staff, bar staff and fantastic entertainment staff who left me alone when I asked and helped and encouraged me when I wanted to get involved my wife and I relaxed for ten days and danced for four just loved it .all families and couples no groups of men or women but very good for couples and families
The only down side was all inclusive doesn't include wi-fi a safe or loungers on the sea front. free round the pools 5 pools yes it is that big.
Finally would we go back in a heart beat YES PLEASE

Room Tip: All good but we had a bungalow a bit extra but worth it
