“Wonderful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

We've just returned from a 4 night stay, All Inclusive, at the Paradise Costa and we couldn't have loved it any more! The weather was lovely for our stay and the hotel staff were so kind.
As you might have seen, the Paradise Costa is part of a group of hotels situated in same area of Costa Taurito, however Paradise Costa is situated further back from the main Arena, which in my eyes was quite handy. The central arena could become quite busy, what with families and especially at night when the Animation Team took to the Arena Plaza (BE SURE TO GET THERE EARLY IF YOU WANT A SEAT/TABLE)
.
The Paradise Costa is quite small which is also a good thing, as there weren't many guests. The rooms were wonderful and spacious, with a large balcony, tv, bath/shower. Plenty of room!
The food was lovely, offering a varied selection each day for lunch and dinner. The typical amenities were also available each day, such as Chips and Salad etc if prehaps you didn't fancy anything else. Great selection of puddings too. Fizzy Drinks, Water, Juice, Beer and Wine were also available on tap throughout Lunch/Dinner. However if you do find yourself thirsty there are plenty of places to get a drink (Alcoholic or Non) from the Pool Bar/Lounge Bar/Arena Bar.

If you also get entry into the Waterpark (situated at the center of the complex) please be reminded that it uses Salt Water, so shield you eyes on the first slide! :) Slides are great fun and there isn't much wait. Loungers are also free, so be quick to find some shade! You can also find All Inclusive snacks and Drinks from the Bar in the Water Park.

If you fancy visiting the Costa Taurito beach, the sun loungers are free from 6pm on-wards too.

I'd definitely recommend taking the Number 1 Blue bus to Puerto De Mogan (less than 10 minutes away) at 2.80 return. It's so beautiful and there's so much to see/buy. Wonderful short day trip. Just turn right as you exit the hotel and travel to the end of the road and cross over to the bus stop. Buses run every 20 minutes.

All in All a wonderful short getaway! Would definitely consider travelling again!

Room Tip: As people have mentioned before, a room higher than the 1st floor would offer a better view/less noi...

This hotel is listed as 4-star and that is probably right for the pool/bar/lounge area, but a little generous for the rooms, which could do with a remodel (and better pillows!). Be honest though, who goes on a summer holiday to stay in the rooms?

One big plus for the hotel is its top notch service (with the exception of miserable, ignorant woman who clearly didn't like her job). However, I'd have liked for the bars to be open for a bit longer - the pool is open from 9am to 8pm, but the pool bar is only open 10:30am to 5:30pm, and then the Piano bar (the only other bar in the hotel) does not open until 6pm.

It' very well placed in the resort though, just a 3-4 minute walk to the main plaza/club, and 6-7 minutes from the beach, yet you don't hear the noise of these areas when in your room at night.

They carry out activities during the day for adults (shooting, archery, water polo, etc), so if you do go without kids, there is plenty to do, and all of the 'animation team' that run the events were enthusiastic and friendly.

One final thing you should know is that it is 90-100 minutes from the airport via coach transfer, but if you can cope with that, I think you’ll enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the ground floor, as the rooms face right on to the front of the hotel where a lot of t...

Well what can I say, a fantastic holiday on every account.
The food was great, a brilliant selection at every meal and always fresh.
The pool and facilities were of a fantastic standard and always available at any time of the day.
The best thing about the holiday is the animation team Michael T. Could not find a nicer person, very helpful, approachable and enthusiastic. Always encouraging and a fantastic teacher/coach for new activities. The holiday would not have been the same without him, he is a credit to the hotel. Well done to Michael for making the holiday such a memorable one.
Credit to Ambrose at the pool bar also for fantastic service and a great attitude to life.
Sorry to be leaving so soon.
Sam and Ian

Having said we would never go "all inclusive" - we do not like the thought that we are putting local restaurants out of business, and wrongly, I had visions of people drinking all day out of plastic glasses and getting the worse for wear as a result.
Our experience at the Costa was very good. Reception was helpful, they even arranged a pack breakfast on departure as we had a 0350 pickup. The rooms are large, free tv with BBC and Euronews, plenty of hot water and cleaned every day.
We were most impressed by the dining room, linen tablecloths and napkins which were quickly changed by the staff as necessary. Dining outside under large sunshades was available.
Personally we found the food good, Plenty of choice either hot or cold, with a bbq most lunch times. There was a lot of pork, but we also had chicken, turkey and fish. Vegetarians would not be disappointed.
Being our first venture at ai I found it quite strange helping myself to unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks at mealtimes, and to be served at the poolbar during the day, and the piano bar in the evening. We personally did not see any abuse of this system.
We eat out most lunchtimes - doing our bit for the local restaurants - mostly at Puerto Morgan a 1.40 euro bus ride away.

Only gripe no free wifi 2 euros for half an hour is excessive. Solution, use a bar/restaurant with free wifi, La Cicala in Puerto Morgan for example ( the password is on the menu).

Would we stay at this hotel again - yes.
Would we go ai again - yes, but with reservations, maybe we were lucky.

Just returned from our 11 night family holiday at Costa and wow what a holiday it was !!

Hotel was lovely , clean and modern. Good sized rooms which were cleaned 6days a week ! The hotel is quite small so has a lovely 'family feel' to it and the staff were friendly and very helpful. There was an excellent variety of food and drinks - the kids enjoyed toasties and ice cream from the pool bar !

The resort felt really secure and was extremely family friendly with the entertainment arena, crazy golf, trampolines, bowling, arcades and of course the waterpark there was always lots to do!!

However if the saying "it's the people that make a holiday" is true well this certainly was the case for our family - Michael from the animation team did an amazing job of keeping us entertained and we all joined in the daily games/activities and had such a laugh doing so - he was excellent at joining all nationalities together and everyone mixed really well and this was down to Michael - professional yet personal and will not be forgetton by our family !

Would definitely return to Costa for our next family holiday

Room Tip: Request a high floor for a great view

Stayed at this hotel from 28th May - 8th June 2013. Family holiday in celebration of parent's Silver Wedding anniversary - 6 adults and 2 children.
First impressions of the hotel were brilliant - we dropped off at the Lago first so got a good look at the entertainment area which was great! Arrived at the hotel just as dinner was finishing, but the staff on reception said they would stay open so we could get some food. Lovely entrance, reception and 'piano bar' (although I think we only had the piano once during our stay).

Rooms were clean, modern and spacious - 2 of which had a connecting door (locked when we arrived, but upon our request was unlocked) which was useful for our visit with the children. Bottles of water are provided complimentary on your first day in the fridge. One tip about the room - I would suggest taking a hair dryer if you have space in your suitcase! We didn't have much baggage allowance so I took a chance, and it was quite difficult to dry my hair (photo provided). There was a pipe with a nozzle attached that you had to hold - not very powerful and got quite hot.

The pool area was lovely - rather quiet even on busy days. Entertainment was around the pool most of the time, which was super! There are a few entertainers on the team at the Paradise hotels, but Michael does the daily entertainment at Costa. Our group was ranged from 7 years to 57 years old and every one of us had a fantastic time thanks to Michael. If you don't want to get involved, he won't push you (too much...) and has some crazy fun ideas to make sure you enjoy your time here (I won't spoil anything though).

The main night time entertainment is down at the Arena Plaza, an area for the three hotels. Seating can sometimes be an issue here on busy nights (sometimes not enough), but we found somewhere most nights. The entertainment at the arena plaza started with mini disco, presentation of diplomas, a show and ended with the club dance. Shows were a mix of external people coming to the hotel or the entertainment team. If you don't want to stay at the arena plaza, the hotel bar also has entertainment on. Things such as quiz nights and animal shows.

Waterpark is great - free entry. Although it is salt water and you can't get snacks here at lunch time.

There is a brilliant crazy golf course, which is 4 euros per person, and an arcades centre with bowling down at the arena plaza. We only went to the Disco one night - really nice inside, but was rather quiet. Might get busier in July / August. Free entry and drinks reasonably priced.

The one down side was leaving - there is no courtesy room, but a shower room. This is an old sauna room with a shower. It gets soooo hot in here and there are no mirrors or anything to dry your hair with. I had a quick shower and made a dash for the ladies', where there's a bit of a 'dressing room' (there are also plug sockets in there for you to use hair dryer / straighteners if needed). I would recommend trying to keep your room on if possible, and if not too expensive.

We were genuinely gutted to leave this hotel - had a wonderful holiday and met some lovely people :) Have already recommended to friends!
