My partner and I had dinner at Guantanamo in January 2013 during our trip to Gran Canaria.
The set out of the restaurant was nice, however i didn't like the plastic chairs we were sat on although not all of the chairs were plastic as far as i could see.
We had a jug of Sangria (which is fairly strong) and we both had a starter and main meal. I ordered a Spanish Omelette to start and there was far too much so if you do order this it would probably be better as a dish to share.
I ordered a 350g fillet steak for my main meal, however when it came out it definatley wasn't a fillet steak, it looked more like a rib-eye. As i thought it was fillet i had asked for it to be cooked rare, however as it wasn't, if anyone orders this i would recommend having it medium as that's the best way to eat a rib eye for its full flavour.
They serve the steak with a massive jacket potato and some vegetables so you do get a very substantial meal for the price.
We didn't have room for dessert but we were served some coffee, chocolate flavoured shots to end the meal.
Overall a good experience, good staff and good sized portions of food.
