We had our best skiing holiday ever in this lovely hotel. They gave both us and the kids an upgrade to their panorama suites which had views directly over the bottom of the chairlift run. All the staff were really friendly, and we loved the food. Seriously underused Kegalbahn (ten pin bowling with nine pins) down in the basementVent is so quiet and sweet, and when fresh snow falls it's utterly romantic. The skiing is limited - one beginner drag at village level, another steeper drag with limited opening hours at the top of the village (we didn't bother with that) and a snail-paced chair linking to a long drag to the top of the mountain. But still great skiing from top to bottom in new snow. But the best way to holiday in Vent is to use it as a village base for driving to Obergurgl/Hochgurgl's area - make sure you have winter tyres and a good battery and it's easy to park even in peak season in Untergurgl. The rodelbahn from Vent mid station is huge fun too. We'd love to go back if we can ever afford it!
