We stay in Kefalos some miles away, but occasionally visit Kardamena for shopping. The El Greco Like many other small Business's are suffering from the All Inclusive Hotels, but they remain steadfast and maintain the same standards food wise as always, based on Price alone there Club Sandwich must be the best deal in Kardamena.

Just got back from Mastihari yesterday, missing El Greco already. The Mussels Saganaki was one of the best (if not the best) I have ever eaten. Vasilis and all the staff are wonderful. It was my birthday and our 40th wedding anniversary while we were away. We had a fabulous evening with friends ( Greek and German ). The food and wine was flowing all evening....nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff at this wonderful Taverna..This was our 3rd trip to Mastihari. We will be back again next year to spend wonderful lunch times and evenings in El Greco

Just returned from Mastichari and missing El-Grecos already.....myself and friends made lots of visits here for drinks, lunches dinners and sometimes just to have their excellant frappes.... Nothing was too much bother for the lovely Vasilis and his team.....even the chef had a smile every time.. The food was great and the Greek dishes very delicious.......a lovely, lovely taverna...well worth a visit.

This taverna has changed hands in recent years. On our visit this year the swordfish was okay, but not the greatest, and was served with a jacket potato which was undercooked. The welcome and service was decent enough but I am afraid there are better places than this to eat within a very short distance

Dear friend,

Thanks for your comment. We always try to keep up the hard work and the proffessionalism. Yes the restaurant has changed hands on 2012 taken over by a family with experience on hospitality since 1981.

Best regards, Dimitris
