Stayed early July for the third time. Its a perfect holiday for me, plenty to do if you require but peace and quiet if you prefer. Its a large complex located directly on the beach with a coastal pathway that will take about 20 mins to walk into the pretty village of Mastichari. The complex is extremely clean and the staff work very hard to maintain that standard. All the staff are approachable and very helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern with plenty of storage space and cleaned everyday usually mornings. The food is amazing, served in the main restaurant. Lots of choice, its fresh and plenty of it. If three large meals a day prove too much then there is a beach and poolside bar that serve freshly made sandwiches, cake, cookies and ice cream. No excuse for anyone to starve. Its great or the kids with an animation team day & night, its great for us older ones - time to relax with a drink, time to talk, or time to have fun maybe watch a show. Its a great all round place to go, something for everyone including a coach to take you to Kos Town and a coach to take you for a fun day at the waterpark. At the moment I'm counting the days down to my return in September with my husband, son and his partner. Hopefully I will be able to return next year!!!!!

We have just returned from a two week holiday at the Achilleas beach Hotel - we had a very good holiday - food good - staff excellent - clean and tidy all the time - we stayed in the newer part of complex which is nice and quiet - but went to the busier part in the evenings - car hire is cheaper in Mastichari and only a short walk along the safe beach walkway - cards are not excepted so take cash and get a safe in your room waterpark is free bus only ten mins away and free admission which is brilliant saving as it would have cost 17 euros Adult 13 child over 4years its a great huge waterpark and the food is very reasonable. Make sure you shop around for best prices as we spoke to others who had all paid different prices. We want to return next year so thats how much we enjoyed it and we can be difficult to please go on do it you wont regret it

Room Tip: Quieter rooms in new part of complex from room numbers 1000 onwards but best family rooms are in the...

I was expecting a 3/4 star all inclusive holiday given that the holiday cost £800 for 9 days each (2 of us). The staff are rude, act as if they are doing you a favour when pouring drinks (most of them awful) and the food was appalling! You eat in what looks like a large canteen and the food is the cheapest sort with nothing fresh. No fresh fruit apart from melon for dessert, no proper cereals and awful bread. We ate mostly salad and chips!!
The area is beautiful and the beach in mastichari saved the day. Better to go self catering in mastichari where people are friendly and the food is great.

Our first all inclusive holiday, very clean hotel (cleaned every day)
Payed little extra (£60) for gardens/pool view, which was worth it as was near to main pool and bar.
Food was good, changed every day but not by too much..... always had nice chips which was good for my 9 year old son which is what he mainly ate along with pasta and rice, he ate other food also but not too much of it but its obviously a different country so kids find it harder to adapt.
Restaurant had salad, soup, bread, different meats, cakes etc..... so plenty for every person.
Apart from meal times there was pizza squares (only meat), cheese pie, sandwiches and ice cream available along with all the drinks, all day every day from 10 til 6, by the 2 pools and beach bar.
We only found out by walking up from kids park that there was another pool, small walk from main hotel.... which also most people who we talked to did'nt know about.
Also was a big pool with its own snack/drink bar, its same complex but to me seemed like it was almost seperate as it was quite a walk, and apartments were different.
Main pool was great and very big, not to deep 1.35 - 1.45, kids pool was 0.90.
Was cleaned every morning, had waterpolo on every other day.
Kids club on few times a day also for adults, my son eventually joined in after bout 5 days in to the holiday, I joined in sometimes and won few alcholic cocktails lol.
Hotel has villas/apartments scattered around complex which are all nice especially if you get pool or beach view.
Beach was stoney but if u take short walk to the left the beach and sand is quite clear, although the waves were quite big so we only went once as my son found the waves too much.
Drinks were ok, me and my partner mainly drank beer which you got in small glasses, there was also vodka, whiskey, cocktails etc. Had small que at main bar from bout 8:30 onwards till free drinks end at 11pm
All staff nice and freindly accept for reception staff.
Finally hotel is mixed with europeans, a lot of polish, cech, dutch, germans and russians.
Wth some been quite ignorent, pushing in queas etc.
Was quite a lot of english, more in second week.... which we made some good friends with, first week was mainly foreigners so was pleased more english arrived.
Was quite bit to do at hotel with games room, tennis courts, mini putt, kids club etc, was shop over the road which was quite expensive but no nearby bars, 20 min walk to mastichari,
Nice bar (inter cafe) near shop which is part of complex but you had to pay, we went on last night and was there till 2:30, beers are 3 euro for small or 4 for large....cocktails 6.
Small nightclub in complex open 11:30 till 3, mon and thur, drinks were 1 -2 euro more than inter cafe. 5 euro for beer and 8 for cocktail which is really expensive.
Finally entertainment was ok but repeated itself in second week, had to get seats early to get good view

Room Tip: Ask for pool/gardens view Our room on bottom had quite noisy a/c Apartments have 2 floors

Stayed in July 12, complex is very clean spacious and ideally located on the beach. Good facilities with plenty to do should you wish. Only a 20 minute walk into the lovely village of Mastichari. Food is fresh, plentiful as there is always plenty of choice. Staff very helpful throughout the hotel and having stayed here 5 years ago when it was looking a little tired the apartments have been newly refurbished to a modern style, big improvement.

Great value for money and would highly recommend

We have just returned from an amazing week at Achilleas Beach Mastichari. We had a Family room for myself my husband and my 17 year old daughter - her room was within ours but separated by an internal door. The rooms were spacious, had plenty of storage plus dressing table with hair dryer and mirror. Air con was 6 euros a day but a real must - tv and safe box available for a deposit once remote and key returned you get your money back. There was a maid service daily when the rooms were swept, bins emptied the 6 towels were changed twice in the week we were there. The restaurants were brilliant - loads of choice for each meal - upstairs was a themed restaurant which you needed to book into 48 hours before this had a greek, italian, continental, asian or fish theme alternated daily this was FANTASTIC!!! I am vegetarian and was able to find a variety of food to suit me each day. The pool was well organised - bring your own beach towels - pool bar and toilets - lots of space and sunbeds available. personally we preferred the beach but the pool was good for family's with plenty of activites going on for all ages including an aqua fit session each morning! And somewhere else in the extensive grounds was another large quieter pool with pool bar too but we didnt go thereThe hotel and all the grounds were IMMACULATE constantly being cleaned swept and maintained - the all inclusive package was very good with plenty of drinks snacks including pizza, rolls, cake and ice cream available all the time - finishing at 11 pm. The beach was a short pleasant walk through the grounds sunbeds available for 1.50 euros a day - book at reception - there was a lovely breeze and some pretty impressive waves! the first part of the beach has rocks at the shore line but walk up about 40 meters to a clearing to have easy access to the sea. one day there was a lot of sea weed due to the wind direction but this soon cleared. Beach bar and toilets close by also. When we arrived there were not many english but a couple of days later there were plenty to chat with. Night time entertainment was ok - karioke night, greek dancing was very good, some things for families with younger children too - we were content to just sit and relax and chat. There was apparently a well equipped gym but we didnt go there! Plenty of daily excursions available we went to the Volcano on Nyssiros island and did scuba diving in kos town - water sports are available a 15 minute walk up the beach in the main town of mastichari. The water park is free to hotel guests - book at reception - you are collected outside by coach at 9 am and returned at 5 - we didnt go - but others who did said it was worth it. All in all we had a great time - We would recommend and go there again - Thank You.

I've just returned from this hotel and had a lovely time - it met or exceeded all my expectations.

This has been my first foreign holiday for quite a few years and I took my 8 and 15 year old sons and 15 year old niece. I went for all inclusive as I was on a tight budget and I have say this worked really well. Our only additional spending was for lilos and the like.

The staff are friendly and the service was excellent. The rooms and facilities are all spotlessly clean and well maintained.

There are a lot of Mosquitos, so do take plenty of spray (available at the local shop for 4.50 Euros).

The beach is lovely fine sand, but the sea is quite rocky. We spent most of the time by the main pool which is perfect, large and never over crowded.

There is a good mix of nationalities who visit, which we found great - there was no single group which 'took over' the resort - though the usual stereotypes of pushing in, being laud etc are of course true, it was never a problem for us.

I recommend this for any family who would like a simple pool side holiday on a fixed budget - ideal for toddlers through to teenagers.
