A cold wet Huon day when we arrived however fire was set for us and it took all of 5 mins for the beautiful 'Emily" cottage to be bathed in warmth. Views out the loungeroom and kitchen windowa of the lovely stream was breathtaking, electric bbq was easy to use and cooked the food well. Bed was very comfortable and spacious, everything we needed. A lovely three course breakfast included with locally sourced eggs and bacon topped off our stay, would recommend to all travellers. Magic well done!!

Room Tip: Emily Cottage is a must!!

We stayed one night here. The setting was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable. It was very warm, and we sat in the creek and cooled off, it was great! Better visited in cool weather, but a charming, cozy place for a couple.

In our experience, frustratingly, what you see on a website often does not reflect reality when it comes to accommodation. In this case, I am happy to say that our night at Emily's cottage far exceeded what we already saw from the very well presented accommodation website. A tranquil and peaceful gem in the countryside, tastefully decorated, clean and thoughtfully designed, and a bit of a bonus for birdwatchers (my husband got a "life" bird, the lovely endemic Dusky Robin). We would like to have had another night there, beside the crystal clear river, but had only 3 days this time round in Hobart and surrounds. An added bonus, the breakfast (included in the cost) was huge! No lunch needed for us that day... The best bacon I've tasted in some time, and (I think it was) Leatherwood honey for our toast, which is my favourite (rare as it is). What a wonderful way to enjoy our morning, with fresh coffee, full tum and a gently burbling river chock full of wildlife. Bliss! Well done to the owners, who have exceeded all expectations.

Room Tip: I assume both cottages are excellent, but Emily was perfect for our needs.

OMG what a beautiful cottage we spent the night in the Emily cottage which looks down on to a small brook. The wild life was pleantful from the bird life to fury creature.
We were left with a large selection of breackfast items bacon, eggs, oats, cereal and many more local product.
Localation was not to far from huonville many shops to grab everything you may need and then return to the cottages and never move out again.
Would strongly recommon

My husband and enjoyed a night in "Eliza" for our 25th wedding anniversary. What a pleasure, and a shame we couldn't stay for longer! The cottage was just lovely and set in a really beautiful part of Tasmania. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.
