“The best holiday I ever had!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2014

Where do I start? This hotel is amazing. I read all the reviews prior to going there on the 1st June 2014 for 10 nights. The reviews have all been good but nothing prepared us for the wonderful holiday that we would have here. The photos do not do this hotel justice. We were met at the airport by a private taxi driver called Mike who I am mentioning because he was so friendly and helpful. Because of him we knew of all the local tourist attractions to visit and his recommendations for restaurants were very good. We were met at the taxi by the hotel greeter/porter who swiftly removed our cases and directed us to reception who had everything quickly prepared. We were shown to the seating area by the pool and given a choice of a much needed welcome drink. Already we were loving this place. We stayed in room 103, one of the Mediterranean suites. What a lovely spacious and stylish room. It was immaculately clean and modern. There was a bottle of wine and some snacks waiting for us. The walk in closet was such a fantastic feature as well as having a double separate wardrobe. Having that space was great. The bathroom is also ultra modern and again very clean. As for the view beyond our own private pool and decking... Wow. We were so happy! This theme continued throughout our stay in the hotel. The Spa area which includes free use of the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room had excellent facilities. We had a couple of treatments there too and the staff were very professional and friendly helping you to relax and enjoy the experience. The food was very good and the staff were amazing. I have never met such an amazing team of people. Every single member of the staff treated us with friendliness, respect and much humour which we love. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them and they did it with a smile. I have to make mention of several members of the staff who we will never forget: Manuela who served us food and was a beautiful and incredibly funny girl and had us constantly laughing. Diagoras, Sandra and Antonio who were all so lovely and friendly to us. Then there is Tsabikos who is also known as Gathan the Magician, He ran the Sketch bar but made time every day to carry out magic tricks at our table which were absolutely brilliant. He is really talented and a great guy. Check out the little Japanese fighting fish on the bar :) Forgive me for not remembering everyone else's names because there were so many that made our stay truly special. This hotel is really beautiful but it's staff are the ones who truly make this the perfect hoilday destination. We will definitely back next year. I can't wait. I was truly sad to be going home and I miss it already. Thanks Boutique 5 from Paula and Graham

We have just spent a week at this beautiful hotel with the most charming and helpful staff. For us it was the perfect vacation, where all we had to do was rest.. The staff is super friendly and service minded. Always there for you! The hotel is very clean and the maids make sure your room gets clean twice a day. And with freshly towels smelling like flowers. My wife loved it.

The breakfast was for us absolutely perfect! Lots of nice and tasty fruits, an egg guy making whatever you want ( omelet, boiled eggs, pancakes, and so on). Good variety of meat, fish and cheese, all nicely displayed. Really good fresh juice and you can get whatever you want for coffee. We really enjoyed our breakfast, and the lovely view over the sea.

The lunch menu was nice, great variety. And we ate there every day. The only disappointment was the pork soulaki (grill spear). This was really dry, and not close to what you can get at a local greek restaurant.

We did not buy the half board with the dinner included, but we tried the hotel restaurant the first two days. The first day my wife had the lamb chops, it looked nice and tasted good, but were really dry and grey inside. I had the filled pork. The same for me.. really dry meat. Day two my wife tried the sea bass, it looked nice and tasted ok, but was cooked and not fried. I then tried the lamb chops, but specially told the waiter to have it pink in the middle. It was grey an dry. If you want some really nice and greek food, you have several nice restaurants nearby. a really nice one just about two hundred meters away, a bit hid, was a really nice experience.

The tennis court was nice, and with a great view. The spa was okay, only two pools and now Jacuzzi, but quiet and friendly staff. The "fitness center" was a really small room, with dumbbells up to 10 kg, a bike, a running machine and a multi machine. a math and a barbell would have made it a bit better. The picture on the hotel website is giving the impression of a big room, but mirrors on all the walls make this look better than it really is.

But all in all, we had a great vacation and we might consider coming back.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor have the best view, and you really don´t need a private pool. The big pool by...

We spent a week here while my wife was 25 weeks pregnant and it was the best decision we could have made. The hotel itself is new and impressively designed, with all the facilities necessary and a stone's throw from the beach (most beaches in Rhodes are pebble). The staff are amazingly friendly and could not do enough for us. The location is fantastic if you want secluded luxury, away from the masses of party goers and package holiday crowd. Whilst dining in the restaurant was a pleasant experience, there are some nice tavernas fairly close by. Also, there is a local bus stop close by that will take you to most places on the island.

Room Tip: Booking a room with a private pool would not have made much difference to us as we practically had t...

We have just returned from a fantastic week's holiday here. This hotel is superb, as soon as we walked through the doors we felt welcomed and instantly relaxed. We had a junior suite with views of the sea along with our very own pool, the room was excellent and clean with a huge comfy bed and lovely pillows. The food was delicious with lots of choice on top of the half board menu and the drinks, thanks Tony, were excellent. The service from the staff made our holiday, they were incredibly friendly, helpful and courteous.
You can walk 10 minutes from the hotel and find lots of small shops, a supermarket and other restaurants and the beach is only a 2 minute walk away, although we spent most of our time at the outdoor pool. All in all an excellent holiday, it is the perfect relaxation hotel, we will definitely be going back.

Room Tip: Go for a larger junior suite as these have extra decking around your pool so you can follow the sun

We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of may and i can honestly say this is the most relaxing stress free holiday I have ever had, and that is all thanks to the staff of this stunning hotel. we arrived quite late on a Saturday night and were greeted warmly and handed cool towels to freshen up which was most welcome after our arrival. A porter took our luggage to our room while the gentlemen on reception directed us to the bar for a welcome drink, and the bar tender (sorry i didn't get his name) was the friendliest guy. He chatted to us in a relaxed friendly manner and made us feel very at home. a young porter then took us to our room giving us a brief tour of the hotel on our way. The room was gorgeous, we booked a junior suite with a private pool and although the water was freezing it was a real treat. The maid service of the room went above and beyond we even had to request a extra blanket one night as my hubby is a bit of a duvet thief lol and the housekeeper was there within minutes.
The reception staff especially Mary were so helpful about things in the area to do and where to visit. Breakfast was a superb selection and you could also have freshly cooked eggs and pancakes, all the waiters were smiley friendly and polite. We visited the hotel restaurant one night and the food was excellent. The only reason we only ate once was as my husband has severe intolerance's to wheat gluten and dairy, and even though the hotel has a large varied gluten free menu a lot of it contains dairy, however the staff did there best to cater for us, even remembering after just 1 day to provide soy milk for my husband cereal at breakfast.
All in all staying at this hotel made me relax which for me is a compliment in a million as i have a stressful job and find it hard to forget about work however this hotel made that happen. See you in September!!

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful i believe higher rooms have a better view

We stayed here for a long weekend at the beginning of May 2014. While clearly the tourist season only just awakes then, we had a lovely stay. The employees are very friendly; in fact, I cannot remember a single time when a porter met us on a hotel car park to help us with our luggage. This was a good start. Check-in was also good, with a complimentary welcome drink at the lobby / pool bar. Our first room wasn't that nice because of the view. Specifically, you see the road between the hotel and the beach from rooms on the lowest level (which is floor 1). We therefore requested a change to a higher level which took a bit too long in our opinion. We were first offered an upgrade to the highest room category (against a fee) with the apologies that everything else is unavailable while clearly the hotel was not fully booked. After 1-2 hours, which we used to rest in our first room, we were finally moved to another room on the second floor which was just fine.

What did we like?
- Design
- Everything is new; hotel only opened 3 years ago
- Employees very friendly
- Breakfast choice and quality was very good
- Hotel is very quiet; adults only; and the walls are thick enough so that you don't hear the neighbors
- Tennis court has unobstructed view of the sea; very nice!

What could be improved?
- It took a while to get your food order, both in the lunch restaurant and at the beach. At two out of three occasions we only got half of our order because our other choice wasn't available. That was probably due to the fact that the hotel just opened for the season, but this should have been communicated immediately and not only after 30 minutes when the food was delivered
- The indoor pool is freezing. We asked on day 1 why its so cold and we were told it is still being heated up because the hotel had just opened for the season. Unfortunately, it was still freezing on our third day… that was a bit unfortunate as it was clearly also too cold to go into the ocean or in the outdoor pool (due to 20 degrees air temperature and the wind)

What should you be aware of?
- Apparently the Junior Suites are on level 1 with "partial" sea view. This means you see the road and people walking alongside the road can look into your room. To avoid this you need a Superior Junior Suite, which is exactly the same but with a better view. In fact, the regular "superior deluxe rooms" are on the highest floor with the best views, but without a private pool
- The hotel is about 15 minutes from Lindos and 1 hour from Rhodes town by car; this wasn't a problem for us but if you want to have some action in the evenings you should have a rental car
- The beach is a typical Rhodes beach with stones and no sand; nothing you can do about it, but you should be aware. Otherwise, the water is very clear and still nice

To sum it up, we would definitely go there again, but probably when its a bit warmer and not at the beginning of the season.

Room Tip: Deluxe room if you don't need a pool (good views given highest floor) or Superior Junior Suite...

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for your valuable feedback which we read with great interest.

We would like to thank you for all your nice comments for our Boutique 5 Hotel & Spa and especially the comments regarding the design of the hotel, the breakfast, the unobstructed sea view of the hotel and the relaxation feeling it provides, above all though we were happy to read your comments regarding the friendliness and attentiveness of our employees as we always do our best to offer the best service there is.

We would like also though to comment some of the challenges you encountered,
Regarding your private pool and the fact that you found it cold we are truly sorry about this, we have investigated on the matter and we can assure our future guests that all our private pools have the desired temperature.

With regards to the suite and the room changes you had to do, we would like to mention that there is some misleading information in the comment. Firstly we never stated that the hotel is full, our employees were searching for a possible upgrade and those rooms were fill; the initial reservation was for a Junior Suite with partial sea view, therefore the Superior Junior suite that was offered complimentary was a free upgrade to a sea view and a bigger suite. On top of that we would like to mention that the level of the street is two meters lower compare to our junior suites with partial sea view and therefore someone that walks cannot look into the room.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our Boutique 5 Hotel & Spa.

Kind Regards,
Boutique 5 Hotel & Spa Team
