“wow !! Ticks all the boxes”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

Got back from Rhodes on 14th September after 2 week stay at Princess Adriana in Kiotari.
Went away with my partner for a chilled away from all break.Went with First Choice from my local airport.Got to rhodes about 9 pm, and pre-arranged a taxi to take us to hotel. This was an excellent choice as Kiotari is at least 2 hours on transfer coach, but by taxi only 45 minutes.
Wow what a hotel. You cannot be anything but impressed as you enter the huge reception area with its Butterfly stancions from floor to ceiling.
After booking in came the room.Wow again.
Our double room was booked as (room with limited sea view) was at front of hotel on 2nd floor.
It was fabulous, very large, all mod-cons with large balcony that yes we could see the sea.
You do have to realise that the hotel is only a year old so things should be good, and they are.
The hotel is excactly as you see it in the brochures.
The Restaurant and so-called Snack bars are superb. The Snack bars cater for everything, you could easily eat a main meal there if you wanted as a wide variety of food was always available.
The Pool area is vast, sunbeds never a problem, good pool bar, huge swimming pool.Ithink this is so because of the easy access to beach, with its vast ammount of sunbeds and again very large Snack bar catering for all.
The hotel has numerous upgraded rooms with there own small pools. These pools are quite small and not very deep ,good for kids. However if you want you could have a room with a shared proper pool. There seemed to be about 26 rooms covering 3 smaller pools, very chique indeed.
The hotel also has a fabulous A-LA-CARTE restaurant on the roof of the main building. You are able to dine there once a week to eat but have to pay for drinks.Lovely food worth the visit but drinks are expensive, but as you might expect.
The food in the main restaurant is very good, lots of variety, usually fish and all meats most nights. We sat outside every night during our stay, which was really good, but found on our second week the restaurant got very busy at about 8pm and sometimes had to wait to get a table.
The staff were all good, very friendly and accomadating, especially the reception and the main bar area, and the very good blond lady who looked after us in the evening at dinner.
The hotel is fabulous and would recomend it without a doubt. It was the kind of holiday experience you will always remember it ticked all our boxes.
It does need to be said that there is very little to do in Kiotari. From seeing the large display and Rent-a-car desk in the reception area, this is probably the way most people go when staying there. The roads seem good and not too busy.
We used the bus service which was good, also took the local boat service to Lindos which would recomend if you wanted a change of scenery.
We will definitly return another year

My husband I stayed at the Princess Andriana from the 5th to 12th September and have to say the quality of the hotel and helpfulness of the staff completed surpassed our expectations. Our room was large and comfortable with a huge bed (two singles pushed together to make a kingsize) which was extremely comfortable. The room and grounds, pool area, etc are kept immaculately clean and we looked forward to returning to our room at the end of each day to relax on the balcony which overlooked the pool area - perfect for people watching with a glass of wine! We did venture to the beach most days as it was only a short walk under a tunnel to save crossing the main road outside the hotel, although this was never very busy. Beach was lovely, with great swimming and a super little cafe, all part of the all inclusive we chose. Food was plentiful with lots of options to choose, healthy or otherwise! We chose not to hire a car but we did go to Lindos on the bus a couple of times, very easy with the bus stop across the road from the hotel. Came back by boat which took an hour but was lovely seeing the coastline from the sea. All in all, a great relaxing holiday and wish we had booked a second week.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool area appear to be the best option.

Mid Sept 2013 at Andriana, weather fab all week, 27 to 31 degrees
Airport small and quickly through, bus journey is a painful 2 hours plus ( taxi ? )
Very welcoming hotel reception, room overlooking the sea was modern sleek style, huge and comfy bed, aircon works well and not noisy.
Large main dining area was excellent in choice and quality and loads of it, eat outside if you can its less busy, lunchtime at the terrace was equally as good.
Local wines and beers with dinner were very drinkable, so were the cocktails !!
No problem getting a sun bed by the pool even though the hotel was full, beach is stony/shingle
Staff very friendly and polite, activities team do not hassle you just join in if you wish.

Room Tip: sea view side is quieter

Just got back from a week at the Princess Andriana.
About 1hr 30min transfer from the airport and located right on the beach. Not much else around as it is a brand new hotel. But if a week all inclusive, sitting by the humongous pool or a trip down to the beach is your idea of heaven then this is the place to go!
Rooms were cleaned and tidied on a daily basis and if you did not want to be disturbed at a certain time, the cleaners would come back later when it was more convenient.
Lots of food and cocktails to chose from with a pool side and lobby bar open til 1am and an all day snack bar. Just incase you were still hungry??!!!
All staff are very welcoming and helpful. A pleasure to stay at this 5* resort and will definitely be heading back!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel between 29th August & 5th September.

We were apprehensive before we went as the hotel hadn't been open long & with such a good deal we thought something must be wrong... Well this wasn't the case.

We got to the hotel around half 9 in the evening and were greeted by the friendly reception staff and a welcoming Bell Boy.

We were shown to our room and informed that the dining area by the pool was still open for us to grab some food before heading to bed.

When arriving at our room we were not disappointed. The room was spacious, modern and very clean. Everything you would expect and more from a 5* hotel.. The minibar was stocked and we had a bottle of wine and a fruit bowl waiting for us too.

The main restaurant had everything you could ask for although I do agree with some of the other reviews about there being more traditional greek food. We ate out a couple of nights to try and experience that.

We visited the Moonlight restaurant on our last evening and it was just lovely. The food was truly delicious accompanied by great surroundings and staff.

The pool was was huge! Plenty of sunbeds for all the guests and friendly staff at the pool bar. We didnt participate with any of the activities but a lot of guests did and you could tell they were having a ball.

We would recommend going to the beach. It was lovely albeit a pebble beach! The sea is just beautiful, clear and clean with lots of sea life beneath the water! We spent everyday here as well as by the pool.

We have both said that we would definitely return to this hotel without a second thought. We had an enjoyable holiday that won't be forgotten in a hurry!

We stayed in August (between the 10th and the 17th) and really expected the Hotel to be quite busy, but this wasn't the case at all.

We never had to wait more than a few seconds at the bar areas for drinks, there were always tables free for eating (unless you decided to eat dinner after 8:30pm, we did notice people queueing as we were leaving, but that's avoidable by simply eating earlier), and we never felt rushed.

The pool itself, was huge - which meant that the only "busy" areas were the steps in (where younger and less confident swimmers tended to stay), there is definitely a more active end, as this is where the animation team tended to do their activities at.
The pool area was always clean, free of litter and is very central to any of the facilities.
The sun loungers, despite filling up, were always available - an added bonus to this is, you'd be hard pressed to find a sun-lounger in a "bad" location, due to how the pool and pool area is laid out. There was no need to reserve sun loungers at 6am either! You are invited to borrow beach towels from the spa and could change these daily if wished.

We found the staff to always be polite and friendly in all departments, from welcome to the eating areas.

The food - we read a lot of reviews before travel and it did concern us, but there is a HUGE variety of dishes (I should probably mention that I am someone who eats, gluten/wheat free, avoids dairy and eats a reasonably low carb diet - yes, fussy as hell) and there was always something - more than enough to have to make at least 2 trips to the buffet areas to get a taster of everything.
The more traditional Greek food wasn't a focus, but it was still available each day, as was at least 3 different types of meat each evening and various fish and seafood.
The hotel also took note of my allergies in food and phoned the room to check in on me, to see if everything was okay, provided alternatives to the conventional foods (such as offering wheat free breads and milk alternatives) I really could not have faulted anything to do with the eating - I'd have only liked a slightly larger variety of veg and perhaps some more variety of fish.
Breakfasts were varied hugely, you could choose salmon cuttings, nuts and seeds, greek honey and yoghurts, cereals, "American style" waffles, syrup, pancakes, cold meats and cheeses, frankfurter style sausages, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, omelettes cooked to your specification and boiled eggs - (although as mentioned in other reviews - the 3 min eggs were practically raw), coffee, juices, fruits -I'd happily live in the Medallion restaurant!
The Moonlight restaurant (available to use at no extra cost once per week included in your stay) was the only disappointing part for myself - although my other half really enjoyed her meal - I just found the food rather average, other than the atmosphere - which was lovely, the balcony gives a lovely view out to the ocean and mountains. Children were welcome here, although worthy of note that there isn't a childrens menu. We noted that other diners didn't abide by the dress code here. Contrary to the Medallion Restaurant where the greeter on the door was quick to tell diners if their dress wasn't suitable - which I have to agree with for a 5 star hotel.

Our room was a Junior suite with private pool (room number 8006) and it was fantastic, we were first told that it was "under the bridge on the other side of the road" - which made us hesitant on arrival - we didn't want to be "far away" from the complex - but this wasn't the case - and "under the road" is misleading - it's right next to everything, but at the same time incredibly quiet, I'd be tempted to say those rooms are in the best location in the whole hotel (Rooms in the 7-8000 numbers I believe).
We had a child with us, so they had an extra bed made up, ready for our arrival, which was great - as we arrived at midnight, really pleased with the room, modern, clean and spacious.

The maid service was spot on - they came by twice a day to check and tidy the room - very friendly and seemed to restock the minibar every other day (which had, 4 or 5 soft drinks, some lager and water - as well as fresh fruit on the side - the fruit wasn't restocked, that was just an arrival perk with some wine and sandwiches in our room).

The Beach (private to hotel guests) - we only visited once in our stay, wearing surf-slippers would be most advisable as it is shingle, but there are areas on the sand for activities such as volleyball, the water is absolutely lovely and clear and again, the sunbeds were always ample.

The animation team, who everyone raves about really are, very good - initially we didn't think it would appeal to us, as adults but they were genuinely engaging and entertaining - we ended up going to see their evening shows every night and both the youngster and us really enjoyed them.
As-well as joining in the activities they ran throughout the day (it's worth noting that all activities, kids clubs and so on are free) such as volleyball, darts, water polo, yoga, water aerobics amongst others, our little-one didn't use the kids club so we can't comment on that.

The sauna/spa facilities were brilliant, clean and high quality but the fitness facilities were rather lacking, I've never seen a hotel do a good job with a gym though - there were 2 stationary bikes, a crosstrainer, 2 treadmills, dumbells up to 16ish kg and a bench and barbell with around 120kg in total of plates and some seemingly random machines, 1 chest, 1 hamstring and 1 all-in-one type pulldown machine, the indoor pool again was brilliant though!

There is a water fountain to music show every night. There is an outside lounge area with sofas and some evenings live music being played, the only downside for us here - the smokers seemed to hog the sofas.

All in all the hotel we thought was fantastic and we WOULD and do hope to return again after our experience.

The Transfer time to the hotel (not controlled by the hotel but the holiday booking agents) was a bit of a pain at around 1hour 45mins travel time - after 4 hours on a horrific plane (again - that's our choice to fly cheap!) but the hotel was totally worth the wait!

I'd also add that before travelling I spoke to a member of staff via social media (Cecile) who was incredibly helpful and also passed on my details when inquiring about the dietary options, who then also chased up how the holiday was afterwards - all in all we felt incredibly well looked after and welcomed, having a very relaxing and pleasant holiday, perfect!

I got home yesterday from a week with my partner at the hotel, the lobby is lovely, the saff were so friendy and so hard working (not sure how other people can say there were rude). We got to our room and becaus it was an anniversary we had champagne, rose petals on the bed and as we arrived late they made us sandwiches and left them in the room for us. The pool is lovely and everything is so clean and relaxed. The only thing that let it down was the food, no traditional greek food any night, as I feel they were trying to appeal to the majority, it was a bit of a let down too much variery of crappy food. Other than that, I would completely recommend to friends and family, they couldn't do enough for us to make the holiday more enjoyable. The night in the midnight resteraunt was some of the best food and service I have ever had.
I wouldn't listen to the other reviews given, it's great value for money for a great hotel ! A week is the perfect amount, and it was just luxury !

Thank you for a lovely week !
Quinn
