We stayed as a group of 4 friends for a week in may.
When we arrived late at night we had been given a king size bed instead of twins and our 2 rooms were not near as we had requested. The decor is excellent with some lovely touches but this was not suitable for someone with mobility difficulties. The pool has steps into it but no rail and was too deep for someone who is short to stand at 1.5 metres through out. This affected the aquarobics until they had tubes delivered to keep you buoyant.
The chairs were too low and difficult to stand up from and when we moved a chair to sit on we were told off like little children by the bar staff. This is no way to treat guests in a 5star hotel.
There were not enough seats in the reception area and we were told off again for trying to take drinks to our rooms which were very near. There are no notices to tell you where the toilets are or what is and is not allowed.
Some of the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant but others need some training in customer relations.
The entertainment staff were good and worked very hard.
The food was repetitive with very poor choice and or poor labelling of vegetarian food and for those who like hot food it was often Luke warm.Despite all these criticisms we had an enjoyable stay but be warned if you go to Marmaris as our friends spent 13.5 hours for only 1.45 hours free time. We would suggest private transfers as it took us nearly 3hours on arrival due to dropping others off at different hotels en route. This was very tiring on top of a dreadful Thomson flight with the smallest leg room possible.

We went for 10 days 1-11 May and the hotel was virtually empty for the first few days. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool which was cleaned every day, mini bar refilled every other day. The pool area is excellent - no-one reserved sunbeds! Beach towels can be changed every 2 days. Animation team were good and not too imposing. The pool bar staff are excellent (especially Jimmy) - often run off their feet but always cheerful. A la carte restaurant very good but they do try to sell you alternative drinks even though you are on all inclusive. Restaurant manager is definitely a little rude and should organise staff better - he should also check people wearing all inclusive bands - we observed the same couple with no bands appear off the street up to 3 times a day in the restaurant and they were never challenged - they never appeared during the day or evening and it was obvious they were not staying there!!! Food OK - must be honest, we usually go 5 star and it appears to be the same food everywhere you go! Plenty of food, hot and cold breakfast (hot only served until 10), lots of salads, meat, fish, desserts but always similar. The hotel has its open private beach, this was lovely and there is also a beach bar/restaurant so you can stay there all day. There is also a separate bar in reception and another outside snack bar by the pool. Entertainment is all outside so I don't know what they do if the weather is bad as there is not enough inside space to sit. I would advise beach shoes as it is pebbly but the sea is lovely and clear and you can snorkel and see lots of fish. Not much in Kiotari itself but there is a bus stop opposite the hotel where you can get the bus to Rhodes town and Lindos. We went to Lindos for 2.5 euro each single, lovely little town where you can visit the acropolis, shop in the tiny cobbled streets and even go uphill on a donkey (donkeys looks well cared for). Buses are air conditioned and comfy. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and we would definitely consider going again.

Room Tip: We had lovely room overlooking pool - I don't think we would upgrade to one with its own small p...

The Princess Andriana only gets a four star rating from us because we too, like one of the reviews here, experienced being on the receiving end of a very rude Restaurant Manager in the Medallion Restaurant (which is the main buffet restaurant).

We first encountered his terrible attitude on our first day but decided to try and put it behind us.

The Restaurant opens at 6.30 every evening. We entered at 6.35 on our last evening to be met by this man shouting at us to "get out" as the restaurant was not yet ready in the most rude manner! We had, also, it appeared used the wrong entrance and we were loudly berated for this. (There are no signs anywhere to tell you which entrance to use and we had accessed by the outside dining/patio area which everyone used)

The last thing you want to encounter when you go away on a luxury holiday is this sort of behaviour! It leaves a very nasty taste. This man is unpleasant and no matter how nice the rest of the hotel this is what we shall remember!

We stayed in the resort last week for 7 days in a junior suite. The room was fantastic and was up there with 5* resorts around the world. We had a small baby and a cot was provided and also a baby bottle warmer. They did not provide a steriliser but we took the sterilising tablets which were fab! The junior suites are separate to the hotel (not far, around 100 metres) but added that extra touch of luxury.

The room was spotless and had two TV's, a fridge full of drinks (free!) and a luxurious bathroom. We also used the facilities including the tennis courts (a hard and soft court), both were fantastic as they are brand new. We also attempted the cheeky min gold, again free of charge. These were great touches and as we were leaving they were assembling the archery as another facility to use.

The pools were amazing, the suites had their own (shared) private pools, this was in excess of 70 metres long and at its busiest time we saw 3 people in there, everyday it was cleaned and it was a great training asset for those who wanted some swimming training or a nice chill out location if you just wanted to cool down. The main pool was even bigger with a bridge over, another nice touch.

So......... What could be improved?

As most people have commented, the food! I think due to the surroundings and all of the luxury elements, a superior selection of food is expected, sadly it is far from luxury. The meat was very poor, mainly fat and bones, I joked that we were eating sparrow legs! The selection was pretty much the same and we actually found the beach bar the nest place for lunch. Being fair, the breakfast was reasonable but was more of a continental style; there was no cooked breakfast option! I hope they really improve this as it would round off the resort.

The drinks were great but the menu was limited for cocktails etc, we used the Internet with the limited spirits to rustle up some great cocktails such as a espresso martini (except using Irish cream rather than Kahula!). A suggestion would be to increase the selection which could be done with no extra spirits.

At this time of year the main pools are great but not for babies, it would be a nice touch if the indoor pool could allow babies just for an hour a day so they could dip their toes in these earlier months, a simple touch but would help.

The internet is free but only at a very slow speed and 30 minutes at a time, please, please extend this time as it becomes tedious, 24 hrs would help. I imagine very few pay €35 for a week continuos so it could be changed easily.

Again in the colder months, in the evening everyone wants to sit indoors, however, there are not enough seats, some extra seating would help.

These are mainly small points to improve (apart from the food!). Overall a great stay at a great price for May. A clean, new hotel which must be one of the best in Rhodes.

Top tips:-

Hire a car of you want to travel, the transfers can be around 2.5hrs and we hired a car for €90 for the week and saved €60 on transfers. This was great to see old Rhode town and Lindos.

Ask for a pool view as the sea views overlook the roads. The pool views are great and we loved it (and normally we want a sea view room).

Book the al a carte restaurant early, it books up fast!

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for your feedback, both for the very positive and also your points for improvement. We have mentioned it before , however we would like to stress it again; we are taking the remarks with regards to food seriously and we are currently working enormously hard to please our guests. The hotel was built with passion for hospitality, with a generous budget and attention for details. We sincerely aim to deliver supreme service in all our departments. We hope to excite our guests with Greek Theme Nights, Italian Theme Nights, Fish & Seafood Nights and live cooking in the restaurants. We hope to welcoming you again in the feature and we are eager to prove that we are matching in every single way.

Many things about this hotel are great. The rooms are superb, many, like ours with private pools and terrace. The bed is a well-designed four-poster and comfortable comparing favourably to many other five star hotels in major cities throughout the world. The housekeeping is excellent, absolutely spotless and meticulous attention to all aspects of cleanliness..
.
The outdoor pool area also stacks up extremely well. Its main pool; is nicely designed and huge. Probably over Olympic length. The sun beds are plentiful with ample space and umbrellas. With its own private beach, and so many sun beds available, never a worry about getting the right position. Throughout this hotel, staff are professional, and friendly, but a few stand out as exemplary and my award goes to Jimmy the pool bar manager, but must also compliment our particular housekeepers who were first class.
It's indoor spa is a proper spa, and again, very well designed with what seemed to me a good gym for those inclined.

However, if all this seems too good to be true, it is. There are two drawbacks, the location and food. It is a bit remote with virtually nothing in walking distance. A visit to Rhodes old town takes two hours by bus or an hour by taxi at a cost of 65 Euros each way. Not much can be done about that, but the hotel needs to listen to its guests about the food. It is adequate, at best, but never of five star qualities. We felt we had to eat out a few times, which deflects from all-inclusive idea and dilutes its advantage.

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for your fantastic comments about our hotel. We are glad to read that you enjoyed the stay. We would like to assure you, as well as other readers, that we take the feedback concerning the food seriously and we are currently working tremendously hard to improve in every single way. We can with confidence say that the settings for the restaurants as well as the kitchens are one of the most advanced in Rhodes Island , we have heavily invested in this department. We are therefore very sorry and disappointed that the food has not lived up to every guest expectations, and this is currently our very main focus. With regards to our location: it is the booming area of the island, known for its crystal clear water and natural beauty. On this point, we could not be more proud to feature such a prime location. Again we would like to thank you very much for your time to write the review and all your reflective comments. We hope to welcome you again in the nearest feature, Best Regards, Princess Andriana Team

The hotel looks the part, a year old, contemporary, clean & vibrant - that's it in terms of goood points! Food is a subjective issue but the offering here really wasn't great, same old every day in the main restaurants and identical daily in the snack bars. The description of services was at best ambiguous in that if you do not wish to dine in the main hall, the snack bar on site only provides fruit or maybe a bread roll. The beach bar didn't even have tea / coffee at breakfast!
This is no five star venue, our soft drinks were not even replenished in our room.
The worst aspect was the managerial staff - bar staff were pleasant and receptive but the restaurant manager physically screamed and shouted at us to get out of his 'restaurant' as we were 10 minutes early (we were told it was open!) We weren't the only party treated in this manner. The hotel manager said he knew nothing of our issues (why not - do they not hold briefings) & the Cosmos rep Andy was worse than a chocolate teapot! Never ever again!!

This is the nicest and cleanest hotel I stayed in. First of all the staff was very nice, the hotel was spotless, the activities are fun, the swimming pool is great, the beach is clean and inviting, the service was beyond our expectations.
This is a TRUE all inclusive. There are 3 meals a day in the main dining room, two all day restaurants in the beach and near the swimming pool and two bars. You can drink alcohol and eat all day. There was a large verity of food – they even have a special buffet for kids…
There is a children club with activates for kids which our daughter liked, and we liked most of all the SPA!!
The hotel is 10 minutes from Lindos and about 45 minutes from the city of Rhodes.

Special thanks to the staff which was perfect and special thanks to Anestis the restaurant manager!

We will certainly come back!

Cheers!!

Room Tip: We recommend pool view room - and if you can, book the room with the privet pool!
