A wonderful and historic, renovated hotel right on the beach of Georgioupoli. The location is fantastic, because it is in a cove, sheltered from the north winds, the beach is soft sand, easy to wade in and out. The water is always fresh and cool, due to the little streams from the river running into it. The staff is very friendly, and make an effort to consider your every comfort. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, the internet is fine. The food and the wines are excellent. There are plenty of comfy lounging beds on the beach and by the pool. There are nice shops in the village nearby, to pick up souvenirs and mementoes.
I spent a few nights enjoying Corissia Princess last year with my adult daughter, and loved it so much we extended our stay, and are coming back this year.

After 10 days at Corissia Princess I have only words of thanks for the way we were treated. I especially mention Barbara and Emily at the reception and Daniel at the restaurant for their kindness and professionalism. As a recommendation, it would be good if there were several TV channels in English

Georgioupolis is a nice little village with a big heart. The Corissia Princess proved comfortable, easy going and really guest-oriented. The reception/front desk staff is helpful and informative. The barman on the fourth floor patiently willing to supply hot water and ice cubes as wanted, as well as cocktails, and the hard working cleaning staff deserves special mention. Topping it all is the staff at the restaurant/garden who smilingly made you feel welcome and cherished. Thanks for a lovely twelve days, guys. The hotel is on the small side, size-wise and, actually, so are the rooms. The triple room was, however, quite comfortable for two and the balcony was a favourite spot. Good value for money.
One suggestion for possible improvement would be to add simple coffee/tea-making implements. Early mornings on the balcony would have been perfect with a hot cup.

Room tip: Choose higher floors if available and if finances allow it would probably add significantly to the enjoyment to splurge for a suite.

My wife and I came back from Corissia Princess back to Canada few days ago. Very impressed.
1. Check in. It was quick and smooth. We have been met by very friendly and professional people who were so helpful for all two weeks of our stay in the hotel. Many thanks to the front desc ladies: Barbara, Angelika, Carina. Good job!
2. Room. Perfect size for two persons. We didn't get the cleaners names but they surely deserve a mention because our room was always clean and filled with plenty of towels and toiletries. Fantastic sea view from the balcony.
3. Sandy Beach. Right across the hotel. Very clean and cozy. Beach loungers and umbrellas are always available.
4. Meal Buffet. German-style buffet with a Greek touch, friendly staff, fantastic food. Every breakfast and dinner we were greeted by Babis, our regular waiter always looked after us. High level of service! There are dozens of different dishes to choose from. Everything is very good organized. No delays in spite of covid 19.
Overall, we had a great 14 vacation days and we are looking forward to get back to this pleasant place and meet all these friendly people again.

We are a family of 5, stayed at the hotel- room 116- early August. The hotel is situated by the sea while there was pool access from our balcony which was awesome since there was sea view and pool view as well. We also had access to the main pool which is situated a few minutes away and offers sunbeds also with shade since there are many trees around-not that common so thumbs up, not everyone loves the sun at 15.00 pm.

Corissia Princess is located near Georgiupolis' city centre, so you can go everywhere in foot, plus there’s always free parking nearby. Breakfast is awesome, one can enjoy waffles, crepes and omelets baked on the spot as well as fresh fruit 🍉 , lemon juice etc. During dinner Greek gyro and pasta is being prepared on the spot, yet the rest of the dinner-time food seemed pretty basic to me. Great variety of desserts, most of them being served in small portions, it is a beautiful hotel yet almost all visitors are German so I believe this is the main reason portions were tiny. You could always ask for more though which we did. A major drawback for us Greeks was the fact that, during dinnertime one had to pay for water which was free in the morning, and cost a lot, like 4 euros per bottle. In the end you might end up pay sth like 50 euros just for bottled water even though tap water in Crete is drinkable. Imagine that ;-)

The hotel is indeed situated approximately 200m away from the restaurant where breakfast and dinner is being served even though there is a patio with beautiful view on the last floor which is a bummer, I suppose it needs extra effort to bring food back and forth from the main restaurant, a 3 minute stroll didn't hurt anyone, plus when it is dinner time there is always a Greek night, or another event with live music around the main pool everyone can enjoy. This way you might have guests outside the hotel accompany you which is not so common for other hotels. There is also a children's playground with a trampoline situated near the main pool that events take place so thumbs up for that.

Spa services are being offered at the hotel, we were given a great discount for a couple's massage yet 3 young kids equals no massages :-)

Main drawback: the awful smell of sewage and the pipes in the water next to where people swim, I can not tell what they actually were, yet I can imagine which I suppose is worse. I wish I was told what it was, I did not bother to ask though, don't know why... Maybe I did not want to know... Anyways!

When it comes to people, since I am mainly a people's person, Terri helped us get acquainted with everything, Christos and Babis helped us with our breakfast and dinner, many thanks to all the staff, especially Maria and Emilia and all the girls at the front office, beautiful people ready to serve when needed so thumbs up for that. I have been a bit of a nuisance spamming them with emails yet it seemed a bit strange booking a room you know nothing about that costs so much, in the end we got an upgrade (I call it upgrade, others might call it "I was given a choice between the 2 rooms". Thank you, everyone, btw! Thank you also for the wine and olive oil, a beautiful surprise.

All in all we had a beautiful time, the owners did an excellent work making us feel like home, we will definitely revisit, I just hope the smell is gone though....

Happy holidays holiday makers!

Room tip: first floor rooms easy access to pool, front rooms great sea view
