We stumbled upon Villa Lavanda almost by accident... but were delighted to have done so. Very friendly and helpful staff, who all spoke excellent Italian and English (as well as some German). Even though our stay coincided with the busiest time of the year, they invariably attended to our every need!

The rooms are spacious, immaculate and offer every possible amenity. The guest house scores top marks for its location too: a 2-minute walk from the centre (and port district) of the delightful town of Cres. Parking space was not always easy to come by, but this was the peak holiday season.

Excellent food (probably the best lamb that I have ever had the good fortune to taste, cooked in a variety of different ways). Service was always superb (both at breakfast and at dinner), to the effect that we rarely explored other restaurants during our 10-day stay!

All in all, a VERY enjoyable stay that we continue to remember with great nostalgia.

We only stayed for one night at this charming little hotel in Cres Town but would have stayed longer if time had allowed us to.
We stayed in room four, which had a sea view and a good balcony to sit out on.
Spotlessly clean the room was spacious as was the bathroom. Small fridge in the room meant we could keep drinks cold.
Wi Fi free and had good speed and connectivity.
We were surprised that for the very reasonable price we paid that a good continental breakfast was served on the terrace in the morning, not self service but plenty of food.
A very short stroll to the town and beach so an ideal location and parking was easy and free so we were able to leave the car for the day.
If we come back to this part of Croatia we would have no hessitation in booking to stay here again.

Originally we booked a room with a sea view, when we arrived we were disappointed as due to being on the ground floor there was no view of the sea, although the room was large, bright and clean. The owner responded promptly and moved us to a 2 bed room apartment with sea view.
Villa Lavanda has recently been renovated and everywhere is spotlessly clean, furnishings and equipment are what you would expect in a Croatian B&B.

Excellent location for the harbour / town centre (2 min walk), beaches where you can swim 5 min walk, free wi fi a bonus, good breakfast.

This little hotel is run by a lovely family. They were so welcoming and did everything possible to make my stay enjoyable.

I spent two nights here and the location is perfect. Really close to the city and beach yet queit and relaxing.

The fish us caught by the father so its as fresh as can be. The wifi is not that strong but hey who goes to a remote island to surf the web.

My stay in Cres was made excellent by this family. Dont let a few bad reviews by bitter people sway you. This is a great place to relax

The path to the apartment was flooded with no proper drainage which was not exactly great when unloading/going in and out with small children. Front door had a 1/2 inch gap under it presumably for mice and insects to gain easy entry. All door and window handles felt like they were about to fall off shutters didn't function correctly and certainly don't block light out at night. Front window is same height as car tyres in the parking area though the rear is better with its view over Cres. Didn't try aircon. Kitchen was so useless that we didn't even bother cooking, poor equipment quality. Bathroom smelt like a sewer and bedroom had musty smell so not sure if there was a drainage problem. Given all of this, 80 Eur for one night seemed a lot of money.

The hotel is perfectly situated, 3 minutes from the heart of the city, and 5 minutes from the beach. The rooms are brand new and very clean. The restaurant has great traditional fare at very affordable prices. Will definitely stay here again!

Great little hotel in the pacefull city. Positioned a two minute walk from center of the town and minute from the sea and promenade.
Free parking.

Owners are very forthcoming and we really do not have any objection to the accommodation.

We hope to return on another great weekend before re summer...
