Considering that my visit to the site was for working on local geology, I had the opportunity to move within the reserve in relative freedom and evaluate aspects that are probably not evident to normal visitors. The environment is respected, there are few buildings and artificial water reservoirs and -unlike other similar attractions- there are no areas where animal are attracted by systematically provided food. In general, the site looks untamed and may show the visitors something resembling rather closely the true South African environment.
