The Blooming Hotel is also used for business meetings. I stayed in the hotel for two days (one night). The location is perfect close to the dunes and the beach in a woody area. It is not very easy to reach if you need public transport. The food was great. The room, we had a more luxurious room, is large. The bathroom is modern but when I took a shower the bathroom floor was wet all over. There is Wifi in the hotel but it is very slow. I could not use Skype because of the low speed.

I would recommend this hotel if you want to be close to the beach and bring your own car. Keep in mind that on weekdays there will be lots of business people on a training or seminar. Weekends will be different. They offer a variety of rooms some of them with jaccuzi.

Room Tip: Go for the more luxurious rooms.

Second time in one month in hotel Blooming. First for work, than took husband and kids via a deal on travelbird.nl. The hotel is great for a family getaway with kids. (also good for a romantic weekend with partner, or work meeting, but that is a different type of review). There is a pool, a playroom with movies, good kids menu, a good enough restaurant to eat out for two nights while kids are in bed, a fun bar with good wine list and cocktails. On top of that great surroundings, immediate access to dunes and forest for walking or running. A couple of km's from the beach and the cute town of Bergen. Recommended! and I will be back. Only negative part is that the doors on the first floor (don;t know about the others) are very thin and with large openings at the bottom which makes you wake up as soon as the first family walks through the hall in the morning or when the last ones go to bed in the evening. Tip for management: a fitness room would be a nice addition, or Saturday morning Yoga class (tip...)

Stayed for one night, very peacefull location near to woods, room was a double for single occupancy... The room had a double bed which just fit in the room, if there would have been two of us it would be a tight fit, the restaurant served fantastic food with a set price menu which was very good value.
The bar staff were friendly and chatty if needed, the breakfast was a buffet style with a great variety of hot and cold foods.

Room Tip: Pay the extra and get a decent sized double room... It's worth it if staying for more than one n...

Very good design hotel for a very reasonable price. The cheap rooms are quite small but are equipped with a fantastic bed and a nice shower. Although in description the free WiFi in the room was not possible. I could connect to the router but no internet connection. No problems in the lobby.
The restaurant is fantastic. The card is not very extensive, but the served food is a dream. I stayed with a colleague for 4 days and you can have a choice for more than 2 dinners.

A great experience hotel! The beautiful and very nice hotelbar, the swimmingpool and a large forest make this hotel a perfect getaway. The rooms (different types) are very nice. We had several over all the times we've spent here and can recommend most of them. The breakfast isn't expensive and has everything, the perfect way to start your day.
The small village (Bergen) is on walking distance of the hotel (15 min) but hiring a bike is also a good way to stroll along the small and picturesque village. The village has a lot of different and very nice restaurants, but the hotel restaurant is also a good way to spend the evening (especially if you have kids, they can create their own pizza).
Also very nice: in the entire hotel they have free internet!!

They call the town of Bergen a little Hamptons, and it sure looks like it. The blooming is just off the road that leads to the town, set just inside the woods that lead to the many paths and trails that take you to the white dunes coast. The hotel is charming in every way but the room was a little too plain and shabby and a little too noisy in the morning. Among the facilities is a very nice pool area equipped with lockers and a small hot tub. The pool itself is an architectural beauty that uses lighting and colors to great effect, and would not be out of place in a James Bond movie set. Right outside the pool is a deck area for lounging during the warm months. Nearby is a sort of picnic area with tables shaded by white umbrellas and scattered, oddly-placed hammocks. Given the prevalence of sand among the woods, the place has a certain out-of-space quality to it. The breakfast buffet was excellent, complete with a large selection of breads, scrambled and fried eggs, tender bacon and muesli mixes. If it wasn't for the dissapointment of the room, I would have given this place a perfect rating.

A newly build hotel, rooms that have their own terrasses over water or in the garden, situated in the middle of a forrest, 1 km from a picturesque city, 2 km from the sea... these are the prefect ingrediënts for a perfect place. Recommend
