but I guess that so many people patronise Marigil now that it really does'nt matter.
I've been using Marigil now for more years than I care to remember, from when it was just another artesenato on the way to Sagres that only served coffee & beers to what it is today.
The slow cooked pork, lamb and rabbit are a delight and although the accompanying veg can be somewhat overcooked this does not detract from the overall experience.Order one of these slow cooked dishes and such is the generous portion that we inevitably take home a "doggy bag".
Celia and her team are very welcoming and prices(for what you get) are reasonable in the extreme.I suppose that the only drawback for the casual visitor is that the slow cooked dishes have to be ordered 24hrs in advance but dont let this put you off.
All in all a traditional Portuguese restaurant that does the simple things very, very well.
