“A hidden gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013

We ate at this restaurant twice during our recent holiday in Portugal, and on both occasions we were delighted with the fool and the service. From the outside the restaurant is unassuming and unpretentious, you could almost miss it, but inside the service is friendly and attentive without being overpowering and the atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried as you'd want while on holidays.
The food was excellent, fresh and cooked beautifully on both occasions. For our second visit, we ordered the paella for 2 (you need to order this 24 hours in advance), and it was terrific. All four of us (2 adults a 16 yr old and a 12 yr old) enjoyed our meals and could find no reason to complain on any count.
In summary, O'Tiago offers excellent food, very good value for money and an excellent homely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit (or two) if you're in the Salema, Figuera, Vila Do Bispo region of Portugal.

“Fantastic end to our holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

Booked a table for 9 of us to have our end of holiday meal, we had read previous reviews and were not disappointed. The food was fresh, well cooked and well presented. We were all pleased with our choices and the portion sizes were generous. The staff were friendly, attentive and on hand to offer advice. We ended up spending more than three hours in the restaurant and didn't feel rushed. Excellent value for money. Would definitely visit again if holidaying in the area.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

8 of us ate here (plus a 16 month old!) on our last evening in Portugal. The service and food was just out of this world. two of us had the prawn and steak on the stone, which was delicious. Very highly recommended, we just wish we'd found it sooner!

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2013

This is our 5th visit to the area on holiday and I'm embarrassed to say that on 4 previous occasions we overlooked this wonderful restaurant and did what we saw numerous people do and that is to look at the outside and drive off. Please, do yourself a favour and go in!

Inside awaits a comfortable, cosy restaurant with a remarkably varied menu. The food is mainly Portuguese but will appeal to any Western European pallet including my rather 'fussy' mother in law.

'Showstoppers' were the steak on the stone, Special Prawns, O Tiago Pork. The food is brilliant value.

This is a family run business. Son is front of house, father does the bar and Rosa (the mum) is the magician in the kitchen. Expect her to come out at the end of service and visit every table.

Seriously great place. We've been 3 times so far!

“Great Value.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

Family run, very friendly with tried and tested menu with good variety of meat and fish dishes. Steak and prawns on a stone. Delicious Stone Bass. Monkfish Stew.Lamb Chops done on the grill. The house wine at €7 is an absolute bargain. The prices are very reasonable and I would highly recommend O Tiago. Just look at the other great revues.
