We booked this trip as a last minute deal to take advantage of the late snow in Austria. We had checked out previous reviews on trip advisor and generally the hotel had scored well and Inghams generally have a good reputation.

Following an early morning flight and very quick transfer we arrived at the hotel about 11am, ready to hit the slopes as we bought the lift pass on the bus. Check in was a bit chaotic as guests were leaving as we were trying to check in, the result being a big bottleneck in the entrance and that only one of the two rooms was immediately available. That wasn't a huge issue for us as we left all our luggage in one room and headed out for the day but I think it would be a nice touch if your luggage was brought in by the staff and left outside your room while you check in (as at Mark Warner).

On our return we expected the second room to be ready but in fact it had been mistakenly taken by another couple and the hotel management didn't exactly help much with the situation. After waiting a further 30 minutes for them to supposedly track down the guests (they were actually in the room!) we offered to swap rooms which was an easy process. Normally the manager would offer a solution as opposed to the other way around!

The welcome meeting was at 6.30 followed by dinner at 7.30 prompt. The restaurant manager Rob had arranged guests into sharing tables which seemed to be fine for the majority of people. Each night except one there were 3 courses as well as appetisers pre dinner and cheese afterwards. Service was very good as was the food and wine though upgrades were available. After the meal most people headed to the bar area/lounge which was a decent enough size though might be a bit squeezed in the height of the season.

No complaints about the rooms or hotel though it was more like a Holiday Inn than a 4 star hotel but the location was ski in ski out with a t-bar right outside. Having stayed in St Anton before I felt St Christoph had better access to the main ski area as well as being less crowded. The rooms were decent size, clean and comfortable with large showers that actually worked but the walls were a bit thin! The hotel had a decent sized swimming pool, sauna as well as table tennis table to keep you amused as well as a sports bar which we didn't find until the last night.

On chalet night out we went out to the Hospiz Alm following a recommendation from the receptionist that it was a good place to eat and the prices were reasonable. That turned out to be completely wrong- the set menu was €110 per person, starters were on average €25 and mains were €30 and upwards. Whilst the food was very good the bill left a bit of a sour taste in our mouth! Saying that it was a very nice place for an après ski drink though as was the bar immediately above it.

Generally speaking though we had a very good week and met some nice people in the hotel. We were surprised to be some of the youngest guests there as we are in our late 30's! All the staff were very friendly but Rob the restaurant manager stood out as someone who was very enthusiastic and passionate about his job and he performed it very well. The same could not be said about the Inghams rep who was a little more elusive though a nice enough guy. We felt he could have been a little better organised about lift passes and more informative about departure times, bus timetables, places to eat etc.

Though I would go back again if there was a good deal, I still think that I prefer the chalet experience as they tend to be a little more intimate. Overall a very good trip though.

My 15 year old daughter and i travelled to this chalet hotel over Easter and were not disappointed in anyway, however I think we had be realistic in what to expect! The holiday represented great value for money, the hotel chalet was like an upmarket hostel. Yes the property was tiered in places, but the bedrooms were clean and a good size, beds were comfy, there was more than enough wardrobe space, hooks for ski jackets etc, plug sockets in all the right places and there was a fridge and room safe.

The staff were absolutely amazing, could not do enough for you and a special mention must go to the kitchen staff the food was exceptional, Rob for his slick organisation of the dining room and our waiting staff Mathew, Luke, and Billy. The Reps were always around and helpful.

The ski area is sensational and the ski in ski out aspect of the hotel a luxury for two girls who do not like to carry there skis far! The boot room is well organised with boot warmers. Hire equipment of a very high standard.

It was fun having a pool and Sauna, and the free wifi .

It was extremely easy getting to St Anton on the bus, and we enjoyed skiing too Stuben where you are able to catch the free shuttle bus to Lech. A total must is to ski the white Ring and there is a fabulous restaurant on the slopes of Lech called Rud Alpe, beautiful food in traditional, surroundings.

Inghams looked after us very well and we would not hesitate in returning - hopefully next year!

I was disappointed on arrival because the Chalet reminded me of a tired Premier Inn and lacked the charm and cosiness of other ski hotels. The bedrooms are functional, comfy bed, good strong shower but basic. The public lounges are not as traditionally furnished or as pleasant to linger in after dinner as one would normally expect or wish for. However, Sporthotel won me over for a number of reasons. The food at dinner is excellent and provided the best catering for our vegetarian friends that they have ever had on a ski holiday. Post-ski tea of hot soup, snacks and cakes was a lovely touch and the young staff wok terribly hard and provide good service. Good wine is in plentiful supply with the evening meal.

The ski-in and out is fantastic and provides for quieter skiing at the beginning and end of each day. The free bus into St Anton is reliable and only a 5 minute trip so it's easy to head to the more lively locations after dinner.

Good location for skiing this amazing area, the nightlife is in the town of St Anton, 5 minutes away on the bus. The hotel has a swimming pool and sauna that are great to relax in after a day on the slopes. Good staff, good food.

Decided this year to try a Chalet Hotel and picked for Sportshotel St Christoph, as it ticked a lot of other boxes for me.

Transfer from Friedrichshafen to St Christoph was pretty good aroud 2 hours whic gave you a chance to see the beautiful scenary.

Once we arrived check in was done fairly quickly and keys were handed over. As I treavelled alone I chose a single room on the third floor. Always rials me when you get charged a supliment for a single room when there is only one bed in it !!
Still, the room was quite spacious for a single with pleanty of storage, even had a chair to sit in and admire the great views out of the large opening window. Bathroom was very spacious with a good power shower, had to run the hot water at certain times before showering, not that brave to have a cold shower.

Slight nag was that the towels were changed only once during the week, but bed was made daily and wste basket emptied every day. Decore was a little worn and in need of a refurb to be along side some of the other swish hotels in St Christoph.

Bar area was good and had a good team of bar staff, all ready for a chat and to answer any questions about the area and skiing info. Also they done a deal where you buy a beer package, pay for 8 get 10 larger beers. Didint get to know this untill a couple of days into the holiday, something that could be mentioned by the Ingahams staff at the start at the welcome meeting. Seating area was OK but again a bit worn. Would also have been nice to have had some nibbles on the bar without having to pay for a change. But a great area to have a pint and meet your fellow guests.

Moving onto the food, Breakfast was served with pleany of time. Good options of fruit jiuce and cerals pls yogurts. On the warm side there was porridge, yuk, eggs and a choice each day of something fried, whether eggs, bacon or suasages, not all together to have a good filling breakfast.Toast was always available with choices of different breads along with jams.
Plenty of tea and coffee was always there and constanly being asked by the Inghams staff if you wanted any more.

Evening meal was a regimented 7.30pm opening of the reasturant. always before at 7.00pm the staff come round with nibles with various choices, these were very nice.

Your meal had to be pre-picked at breakfast and choices were very good. The staff then started to come round with the complimenty wine, Red, White or Rose great has your glass was never empty. Also tables always had jugs of water which were replenished as required. The food was more on the fine dining side but dont get me wrong it was great I expect in keeping with all the other hotel fine dining. One problem, with our table of five, ben out all day skiing we were expected to share one side dish of veg. At that time it was difficult to get a second dish out of the serving staff, they semed more interested in filling you glass up with wine, great but we also needed a certain amount of food.

Even at breakfast it seemed that portions were restricted, you got it if you asked or insisited though.

The second bar the Sports Bar only opened after the evening meal for some reason and opened late. Majority of guest were knackered and off to there rooms well before it's closing time, but was used by the staff.

The pool looked good but never got round to using it as always other things on or to do. Bus into St Anton was good, but late bus was not that late. We used this on the night the staff had time off and we had to fend for ourselves for eating. Some good eating and drinking places in St Anton, be prepared for high bills, but thats normal everywhere with a well known name.

Skiing was great, ski / out which was handy and no queues anywhere. Would reccomed getting on the bus and ski Lech.Zurs and work your way back to St Christoph.

Overall, the week was fantastic, skiing was what I expected and beautiful scenery. The hotel ws very adiquate but was in need of a good refurbishment. Portions of food need to be addressed but quality, no complaints there a great team of chiefs there.
Staff were all young and probably there first time in this sort of business, but they were all very well dressed and friendly, always had time for a chat.

Only slight issue was on our day of departure, i was on a 8.30 am collection only to have someone tring my door to start cleaning it at 06.00am, evidently wrong information given to them, may have been a bit frightening for a female on her own though so I hope they have improved communications between reception and cleaning staff on departure days. actually all the staff are multi tasked which they do really well.

I would go back in a few years time, but I hope they will have improved the hotel to standard it needs for the village and to how Inghams sell it. Overall a good location for all standards of skiier with easy lift connections to everywhere.

Room Tip: Take your own snacks for your room as there are no shops in St Christoph, you would have to go down to St Anton.
