“Short stay, but pleasant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

Stayed for only one night and breakfast as part of an excursion, but frankly I wished I could have stayed longer. The place is huge and the rooms are excellent. The only flaw to my room was that the toilet and bathroom were in separate rooms, one next to each other. Other than that, the beds were very comfortable, the furniture looked great, and there were big mirrors in the room, all kept nice and clean. Lots of choices for breakfast and good quality food. Check-in was speedy, free safe also a big plus.

I've never seen a hotel with such a big space like this before. The minute I walked into the hotel, I was astonished by its spacy lobby; then a very long hallway which took me several minutes to my bedroom. I don't mind the long walk because there are plenty of things to see along the way, including the view. I stayed here because I'd like to go to Parndorf outlet for a big shopping spree and this hotel is very close to that place.

If you are staying in Vienna, Austria, this is a hotel you should not bypass.
It is unusually pyramid-shaped with swimming pool in it.
Rooms are very spacious and clean, with cable TV, phone and code-secured safe with mini-bar.
Also, every room in hotel is covered with free Wi-Fi network.
Meals are tasty and fresh from the oven. I especially enjoyed Austrian stollen.
The hotel is not much away from the old Vienna centre, perhaps 15 - 20 min. of ride to it.

Symbolic of my whole experience was the fountain in the courtyard: a very relaxing sound, much better than the road sound that I would probably have heard instead (because there are busy roads adjacent to the hotel). However, when I took a look for this lovely fountain, I saw that it was completely green with algae.
They thought of many excellent things when they put the hotel together: this fountain was just one thing. The spa is lovely, but the spa attendant described in the hotel's booklet (who will be "happy to give you one towel free of charge") was invisible one night, and locked up one hour early on the second night. The beautiful breakfast menu includes fresh omelettes made to order, but the chef was mostly absent. All these things were designed very well - but the managers are not managing to provide service at the level that was originally intended.
The staff is very uneven - another sign that managers are not doing their job. Some (especially several of the younger staff) were pleasant and helpful. Anyone older than 30 had some shortcomings - including the spa attendant who argued that I was mistaken about the proper closing time, written clearly in the hotel booklet.
I have the feeling that the Austria Trend group (a very fine group of hotels in general) doesn't know what to do with this property. As the name implies, it is probably meant for events - when they can fill it at an expensive rate because it's next door to the conference centre. I hope the staff tries harder, and they clean more thoroughly, when they charge the full 250 euro for the room. Maybe I had a lower-quality experience because I paid a low rate when the hotel was clearly mostly empty.
I might stay again - the location is good for the southern edge of Vienna, and many things were nice. But some things were just not so nice.

Room Tip: Choose carefully among the categories: there are very similar rooms in the categories of "delux...

The room was a good size and fairly quiet, but I'm not sure that there was any real benefit to be on the "executive floor" since the executive lounge didn't really offer very much. The hotel location is as good as possible for Vosendorf, convenient for the motorway and the train to Vienna or Baden (with trains every 15 minutes). Vosendorf itself is not the most exciting location, unless you like shopping malls - the Shopping Center Süd (SCS) with over 300 shops is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

Room Tip: It's not worth paying extra for the executive floor

Wifi is weak in room. Location is good, room is spacey and bed is comfortable. 5 minutes walking distance to SCS shopping mall and train station to the city.
Many tourist group have short time stay here. The breakfast is good, but not for lunch and dinner, few good restaurants nearby, plenty of food-court like in SCS mall. Better go to city if you prefer good food.

We originally thought this hotel was to far from downtown but once we learned the trains and subways it was quick and and easy to get around. The rooms were a good size, and the cafeteria was great. It is close to a train track and there is a terrific mall next door if you want to shop or get food. We would do it again if going to Vienna.

Room Tip: Get the first floor if possible. The hotel is huge and the rooms are all over the place.
