We had a really great stay at Killaine - The room was gorgeous and comfortable with a very pretty view - It was a quiet and relaxed place - They had an amazing, yummy breakfast, which was a good thing as the food options in the area are pretty scarce. Kathleen directed us to the corner 'local hotel', we were sceptical but the dinner turned out to be really good! The hosts war friendly and helpful.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night in early sept. Killane Castle was very different place to where we have ever stayed. There are probably certain things one should know before staying In a farm stay. The first is it smells like a farm morning , noon and night, not that there is any thing wrong with that but if you are not prepared for it , the smell can get a bit overpowering, in saying that we stayed on a fairly warm night and we had left our bedroom window open, as there was no fan or air-con. In the morning we were woken up with some very different smells. The room was very nice and comfotable, the bed maybe a bit tired but ok ,and the bathroom was also a bit tired but adequte and clean. The castle itself was beautiful all be it a little bit musty . Kathleen is a very good host and her breakfast was the best we had in Ireland. I hope I did not sound negative as we really enjoyed our stay, and if we ever come back this way, we hope to spend at least a couple of nights at the castle, with a great host Kathleen.

I am a city girl who really want to experience farms - its cool I found this farm house in Wexford. It was only 10 mins drive from Wexford town. Nothing was too luxury or too modern but was decorated with love and into detail. The owner Kathleen is very friendly and thoughtful. She provides cosmetics cotton pad for guests as well as wellies for farm walk. The breakfast was plenty and the taste of home made yogurt and cookies were great.

My parents got a fabulous room on the first floor with view into the beautiful front lawn, trees and fields on the background. That was a modern room with a nice two seat arm chair and heavy curtains. Kathleen told us this room was just decorated earlier this year. Go ireland (the online booking agency) got my husband and I booked wrong, instead a double room we got a twin, but Kathleen moved us to the double room for the second night. There are two windows on different walls in that double room and that makes the room special - its very bright. Although it wasn't as nice as our parents room we like it anyway.

Unlike the other reviews the mattresses were good enough in both of our rooms and the down duvet was so comfy and cozy - I never got from any other accommodation. The shower wasn't perfect, but since its a farm house I wouldn't compare it with 5* hotel, so that was okay. We got cold water for the second showerer though, but Kathleen told us they only got the new boiler fixed, so she apologized to me and thanked me for telling her so she will put more time on the timer.

We went for the trail walk in the morning, it was a bit challenge, but we managed it. My parents got wellies from Kathleen - that was very thoughtful and kind of her. We all enjoyed it. Kathleen also told us they are planning to re-decor another two rooms and make them bigger. So I shall be back then again!

Room Tip: Take a bath instead shower. Close window make sure no fly or giant mosquitos come in. Remeber it is...

We stayed at Killiane Castle for only two nights but will definitely be returning. The house is attached to a part ruined castle which you can walk round and climb the stairs right to the top of the towers which gives you fantastic sea views. The owners Kathleen and Jack are simply wonderful hosts and the house and bedrooms are beautiful. The breakfast as mentioned before is as good as any I've ever eaten anywhere in the world (and I've had a lot of breakfasts ) ! Pretty much perfect.

We stayed only a night but how we wish it could have been longer! Kathleen and Jack are warm and charming hosts. Kathleen took time to help us with our family history enquiries when she must have had many other demands on her time. Our room on the top floor of the main house was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and overlooked the croquet lawn and the fields beyond. The breakfast counts as one of the best that we've ever had, fresh, tasty and plentiful. Tea and coffee are available in a lounge on the ground floor, along with home-made biscuits. It's hard to imagine another place of such unique character and of such good value. A real find!

We are a young couple with an 11 month old baby and decided to rent a one-bed courtyard apartment for one week at Killiane Castle. When we arrived Kathleen was so welcoming and very helpful. The apartment had everything we needed and was very spacious. It was super clean and had a travel cot and high-chair for our little one. The setting is gorgeous, perfect for a relaxing break from everyday life..we played tennis and pitch & putt, saw the Castle, never got a chance to use the driving range and croquet lawn..we had a BBQ two evenings, the BBQ area is so lovely and Kathleen was on hand in case we needed anything..we had breakfast in the farmhouse one morning and it was top-class! Kathleens family were very helpful and friendly whenever we met them around the farm..we brought our baby to see the hens and the cows being milked which led to much excitement! The country roads around the property are perfect for a stroll and are quiet and safe for the baby in the stroller. To sum up we will definitely be back again, such a lovely week for a family to spend time relaxing in an idyllic setting..no shortage of things to do both on and off the farm..very close driving distance to attractions: Rosslare, Kilmore Quay, Wexford town and Johnstown castle..can not speak highly enough of the service we received, 10 out of 10 to Kathleen and her family!

A lovely place to stay, great setting. Kathleen and Jack were very friendly hosts. We had a room on the first floor with large comfortable bed. We enjoyed the farm walk, and the climb up the castle tower. Breakfast was delicious with a large choice. We enjoyed it so much we stayed another night!
